Seasonal Lake Information for Your Stay
Summer (April - September): The lake is typically fullest during this period. Guests will have access to Blackwood Lodge's private dock for their enjoyment.
Fall/Winter (October - April): The TVA controls the water level for Douglas Lake. In the fall and winter months, they lower the water level, rendering the dock at Blackwood Lodge unusable. The neighborhood has a 'beach' from which guests can access the water and fish, however it will be lower during this period. Blackwood Lodge's rental rates are priced accordingly throughout the year to account for the lost lake amenity. There are plenty of hiking trails in the area, along with the nearby attractions of Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg.
