When we arrived we gound the cabin to be very nice.Quiet neighborhood on a cul de sac. The host ,Walt, is amazingly fast and efficient at communication. The cabins decor is rustic/ western. The full size pool table upstairs is a nice plus on rainy days. T.vs in each bedroom, pool table loft, and in the livingroom. Kitchen has microwave, coffee pot, plenty of pots,pans, bakeware, measuring cups, large drawer of serving utensils, silverware, grill tools, drwaer full of knives, etc. Dishwasher worked fine. Large gas stove/ oven. Washer and dryer were a bit tricky to figure out how to work but trial and error we got it.There is a large bedroom,walj in cliset, and on suite bathroom downstairs. Upstairs has a roomy bedroom with king size bed. Also another room with full /twin bunk beds and twin/twin bunk beds. Great cabin for family, friends etc. This was my Father in laws last vacation and the memories we made here will long last!

Cabin was dated but beautiful. Had an issue with the hot tub jets, was in contact with host, but was not fixed during our stay. Walt gave great directions to the cabin, which we really appreciated. Loved the community pool option. Overall, a lovely place to stay

Great place, needs a little TLC

Overall a really great place to stay. Close enough to everything that you want to do, but far enough away for piece and quiet. Overall there were some small issues inside the house (exposed wires, fans that didn't work, locks that seemed to lock themselves) but nothing that wasn't easily fixed or covered up. If you are staying near the Great Smokey Mountains there are very few places for a better price as convenient as this one.

Great Location!

Very clean! Not far from Pigeon Forge. Hot tub was broken when we got there but the immediately fixed it and we enjoyed it the entire time.

A place to unwind

The Hillbilly hotel is in a well maintained subdivision with large private lots, surrounded by lots of trees. There is a guest/residence only hiking trail beside a creek that we enjoyed. The hillbilly hotel is in a very good location. It’s close to pigeon forge but yet far enough away that you can escape the hustle and bustle. The cabin itself is spacious. I will say that parts of the inside is looking tired. The carpet upstairs is stained in several areas. The upstairs bathroom cabinets are very worn likewise the kitchen cabinets are very worn. The kitchen was not as clean as I would have liked, needs a deep scrub. Communication with the property manager was excellent. He did offer to have someone come and clean the kitchen the day after we checked in but I did not feel that was necesssry. Overall very happy with the Hillbilly hotel, we would stay at this property again.

Good location

We were overall satisfied. Great location and comfortable cabin. Stocked very well with dishes and kitchen supplies. The first night I had to strip the kids beds because the bedding wasn’t washed. Nor was the extra blankets in the master bedroom. The hot tub was a disappointment because it definitely needed to be cleaned, it smelled AWFUL and we were not able to use it. Tv in game room does not work.

Girls trip

celebrated our granddaughters 20th birthday. Plenty of room for 7 of us. Cabin was exactly like the description. Loved that the road wasn't steep but just far enough for quietness. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice cabin but needs attention.

Beautiful cabin but needs some attention. Huge gap in front door allowed cold air to come in. Stuffed the gaps with plastic bags to help keep heat in. Couldn’t light the fireplace, contacted owner and was told maintenance was out of town. Never could figure out how to light bedroom fireplace. Too many light switches. Couldn’t figure out which switch went to what. Shower constantly dripped in master bath kinda annoying. No pot holders very few measuring cups. Only 3 hand towels and one set of kitchen towels. For a cabin that should sleep 9, supplies were not adequate. Hot water took too long to heat up. Beds were not very comfy. Other than those issues, nice cabin and we made some wonderful memories!

Hillbilly Hotel is a Great little Gem!

We had a wonderful stay, great communication from the owners. Had everything we needed. Found a hidden bathroom that we didn't know about the second day, off the living room. We felt there was plenty of privacy and safe. Loved the main floor master and large laundry room. The bed was not like home, but we managed. Highly recommend the Hillbilly Hotel to anyone looking for a place a little out of town, in the hills, with beautiful scenery.

DIRTY!!

Cabin itself was beautiful and location was great however the place was crawling in huge black ants and very very dirty. We spent our first hour there and most of our stay killing and sweeping up ants that were everywhere. The Bedding and towels are in really bad shape stained and dirty as well as the carpet upstairs. Lots of light bulbs were out and the air upstairs barely worked ( stayed at 78 degrees). Tv in upstairs bedrooom didn’t work. Back deck was covered in dirt and huge spider webs. Owner made aware of issues was responsive but not helpful. Cannot believe this place rated so high for cleanliness. Could be a real showplace if someone took pride in and gave it a good deep cleaning and refreshed furniture and linens. I would be embarrassed to rent to someone for the cost at the condition it was in. Was unfortunate as it was my parents first stay at a cabin and was meant to be a relaxing break in treatments of pancreatic cancer for my dad. It really Left us disappointed That we chose this particular cabin, as the ones we have stayed previously were much nicer. We Actually Ran into another guest renting from same owner at McDonald’s with similar problems at their cabin. Both agreed we would not rent from cabins in the clouds again. Do not recommend.
