The Cabin

The open-concept great room welcomes you with soaring vaulted ceilings, warm wood finishes, a beautiful floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and walls of windows showcasing the incredible mountain scenery. The fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed to prepare meals during your stay. The dining table for six sits beside oversized picture windows, making every meal come with a spectacular mountain backdrop. A full-size washer and dryer are also provided for your convenience.

Dog-Friendly Accommodations

We know a Smoky Mountain vacation is even better when your dog can come along. **A Walk in the Clouds welcomes up to two dogs with a $125 pet fee.**

Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs and keeping them supervised during the stay. Dogs should not be left unattended unless safely crated. Please keep dogs off the beds and furniture and be mindful of neighboring cabins and other guests throughout the resort.

rules and regulations

1. CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 4 P.M. EST AND CHECK-OUT IS 10 A.M. EST.
2. This is a NON-SMOKING cabin. Smoking is permitted on the deck, please discard cigarette butts in the proper place. If this rule is broken and we have a problem and need to remediate there may be a 250.00 fine to pay for such remediation.
3. Minimum Age requirement - We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent.
4. **PAYMENT – We require a 50% deposit to reserve your dates and the remaining 50% due 14 days prior to arrival. Otherwise, half will be due upon signing the contract and half 14 days prior to arrival. The advance payment will be applied toward the cabin rent. A 3-payment plan may be available but some sites have their own rules so we need to follow their rules in this regard. Ask for details.
5. **CANCELLATIONS - A Thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than Thirty (30} days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 30 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
6. QUIET TIME – Quiet time is between 10PM and 8AM. If this quiet time is abused you may be asked to leave the cabin. Please respect your neighbors.
7. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY- The maximum number of guests is limited to six (6) persons with four (4) adults’ maximum.
8. THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES A TWO (2) NIGHT MINIMUM STAY. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than two days, the guest will be charged the two-night rate.
9. INCLUSIVE FEES - Rates include a one-time linen-towel setup. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate.
10. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE - While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate however maid services are available at an additional rate. We suggest you bring pool/hot tub towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units. Please put dishes in dishwasher before you leave and take all trash to the bear proof container out front. An additional charge will be assessed if these check out procedures are not followed.
11. RATE CHANGES - Rates subject to change without notice.
12. PETS – This is a PET-FRIENDLY CABIN. Dogs are welcome with prior approval and payment of the applicable pet fee. A maximum of two (2) dogs is permitted.
Guests are responsible for their pets at all times and for cleaning up after them, both inside the cabin and outdoors. Pets should not be allowed on furniture or bedding and should not be left unattended in the cabin unless safely crated.
Any pet-related damage, excessive cleaning, or additional cleaning required due to a pet may result in additional charges.
Any pet brought onto the property without being disclosed and approved in advance may result in a $250 unauthorized pet fee.
13. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS - Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in.
14. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS - Any exceptions to the above-mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
15. State of emergency- No refunds will be given unless the National Weather Service orders mandatory state of emergency in area of residence of a vacationing guest. The days that the National Weather Service orders a state of emergency area, we will refund:
a. Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered,
b. Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten their stay, to come in after the state of emergency is lifted; and
c. Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the state of emergency period.
