Summary:
This quaint little garden unit nestled right off the sidewalk of historic Charlton Street, is everything you need to call home in Savannah. Built in the mid 1800s, the historic architecture hits you in the face when you arrive. At first, you're greeted by an oversized wrought-iron door and antique brass. When you step inside... the period brick floors and original fireplaces make it clear that this cozy home has been making memories since the 19th century. We have free street parking in the neighborhood and offer free WiFi, a Smart TV, Washer/Dryer and plenty of kitchen space. We are not even a block from Troup Square and and easy walk to EVERYTHING!!

The Space:
Charming 1800s Garden Apt. in Heart of Downtown
We offer a spacious living room with plenty of seating and a pull-out couch (double bed), a fully-equipped kitchen and a large Queen room that opens up into the beautiful stone courtyard. We are just steps from Troup Square, one of the quieter and more private squares in the historic district, and an easy walk to EVERYTHING. We have plenty of space to setup on your laptop and work from home if you're trying to juggle vacationing and "working" remotely ;)

Guest Access:
We have a garage that can fit most standard size vehicles with avg. size heights.
The entire garden apartment is yours! You may access the rear courtyard at your leisure. It is semi-shared with the owner, where he may need to walk through to get to the garage on occasion, but he's very mindful not to get in anyone's way :). You may use the Smart TV and log into your own apps like Netflix, Hulu, etc.
We allow ONE dog max (no cats) and the fee is $100 which we will need to collect before you check in.

The Neighborhood:
We are in the heart of the Historic District downtown. Everything is walkable and there are a ton of awesome restaurants and shops just a stone's throw away. Some of the best spots in town, like Clary's Cafe (think Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil), Gryphon, Hitch, Mirabelle, Fox & Fig Cafe, J. Christopher's, Zunzi's, only scratch the surface. The historic Cathedral of St. John The Baptist, Flannery O'Connor Childhood Home and Andre Low home are only a few blocks away. We are less than a mile to City Market/River Street and a short walk to Forsyth Park. This location is absolutely prime and perfect for those who want to get a taste of Savannah's history and be in the heart of it all, but have a nice, quiet place to sleep at night. Don't miss out on this quaint Savannah gem!

Getting Around:
Aside from being able to walk everywhere, we recommend taking an Uber/Lyft if you don't feel like making the trek, just because it's cheap and you don't have to worry about parking. Aside from those options, we're only a few blocks to the closest DOT shuttle which is totally free, and gives you a nice little drive through the Historic District, making several stops at the way.

Other Things to Note:
The outdoor courtyard is the only "shared" space, where the owner may walk through occasionally to get into the garage. Parking in this area is free on the street, but always double check the street signs around Savannah before leaving your car.

Interaction with Guests:
We are available via mobile from 9am-8pm Monday-Friday and 10am-8pm Saturday and Sunday. If you have an emergency please call 911. We live downtown so if something comes up, we can be there rather quickly.

Great place to stay!

Garden apt. was super clean & just as advertised. Very cozy in a beautiful neighborhood. This was our first trip to Savannah and it was in the perfect location, lots of things to do within walking & short driving distance. Hosts also made helpful recommendations of things to do. The apartment was just as described, perfect for our short stay in Savannah. It is in a great location, the garage was super handy for parking. Property was exactly as described and within walking distance of the shopping and entertainment district. Cafe within a three block walk. Loved the fact I could fit my Tacoma in the garage. If you have anything larger though, you will have to park curbside. I'll stay here again when I return.

Great location! You can walk to everything in old historic Savannah. The urban deli is a short block away and has crazy good sandwiches/salads and deserts. We spent 7 nights and worked out perfect for the 2 of us. Has a great little private courtyard and a garage. Nice not having to worry about finding street parking. Very easy directions on checking in and out. Great stay!

Home to Savannah

This was the best place we have ever rented. It was quiet, cool, stocked well, CLEAN, everything we needed. Location was the BEST. When I had a question it was usually answered in less than a hour. We even had our own garage. This was a first for us and since my husband is a car guy - he really thought this was the best. We highly recommend this to everyone!

Heaven on Charlton Street!

This garden apartment was spotless when we arrived. Everything worked properly and it was decorated so nicely! There were plenty of books, travel info! We loved every moment we spent there. Exceptionally Gracious

Spent a few days in this cute as a button apt. Very clean, great location, all home necesities were there. Management was very responsive even to a question whether the garage in the alley belonged to the unit. The only thing I would recommend the owners to do is to change the bed. The bed is worned. You lie in it and sink. Otherwise, please do no pass this VRBO.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It had everything we needed. It was comfortable and cozy. The location was perfect and we walked everywhere. I’d rate this location as an A+ for location and neighborhood. Easy to walk to anywhere downtown and a very quiet neighborhood. But, I’d also rate it a B for two reasons: - the shower drain is either not fit to purpose or the drain needs a thorough cleaning. In either case you end up with several inches of water in the t tub. If you have balance issues it going to be difficult - the WiFi in inadequate. Little to no in the back bedroom and according to speed tests I ran no more that 20mbps Overall is give this listing a B+ or A-

Quaint with Comfort on E Charlton St.

My wife and I had planned a trip to Savannah with my sister who'd never been. Initially, our intent was to find an affordable, pet friendly accommodation in walking distance to all the squares, River St and, of course, a vast array of dining opportunities. This quaint little property fit the bill! Easy access, street level residence with a very handsome courtyard. While my wife and I enjoyed the comfort of the spacious bedroom, my sister was more than comfortable with the roll-away couch in the ample sized living room. The kitchen, dining area and bathroom, set between the bedroom and living room, provided for the perfect place to hang out, drink coffee, enjoy breakfast and plan the days adventures before setting out to enjoy all that Savannah has to offer which, BTW, is WAY more than can be taken in during a four day get-away. Our host was always quick to respond to any inquiries. Check-in and check-out were simple. All in all, we had a really good time staying here which made our visit to Savannah that much more enjoyable! Thanks Chase!

Comfortable apartment in quiet location in historic district. No problem finding free street parking near the apartment. We especially enjoyed the walled garden patio out the back door. A very pleasant place to eat breakfast or read a book.

enclosed courtyard makes it heavenly

A simple, gracious, and very clean at-grade apartment that has a wonderful enclosed courtyard in the rear where we spent mornings and early evenings enjoying just being outside in April. If you like a soft bed this is perfect.
