Canyon View Retreat - Ruhige Umgebung, All-Adobe-Startseite mit Aussicht und Whirlpool

Dieser Klassiker mit zwei Schlafzimmern liegt in den Hügeln des historischen Stadtteils Cerro Gordo, nur 3 km von der Plaza und 1 km von der Canyon Road entfernt. Zu den traditionellen Merkmalen gehören ein Kiva-Kamin, freiliegende Lehmziegelwände, mexikanische Fliesen, Ziegelböden und wunderschöne Vigas. Doppelte französische Türen öffnen sich auf die Terrasse unseres Zimmers.  Es ist ideal, um die herrliche Aussicht auf die Berge zu genießen, in der nahe gelegenen Canyon Road einkaufen und essen zu gehen oder sich nach dem Skifahren oder Wandern auf den nahegelegenen Dale Ball-Wegen zu entspannen.

Die Auffahrt ist steil und erfordert in den Wintermonaten ein Fahrzeug mit Allradantrieb.
Das Haus befindet sich in den Bergen, so dass eine Klimaanlage nicht erforderlich ist, solange die Deckenventilatoren verwendet werden.

Great location if you love views and wildlife

The house was stocked with everything needed to feel comfortable. We did have issues with the hot tub and and the water had a yellowish tint, but I think it's because it might be well water. Other than that, great house, amazing fireplace, great views, responsive host, and convenient location to town.

We enjoyed staying at this property. Very clean and well appointed. It is an easy drive to the Plaza from the residence. I do believe that the lighting is not adequate in the tv room however and needs to be improved. We would stay there again.

Charming hide away

If you love nature this is the perfect home in the summer. The hammock, hot tub games were great child pleasers. There are two wonderful playgrounds and good hiking trails nearby. Thank you..we may be back!

Canyon retreat was awesome

You are staying out of town very near trailheads for hiking so be prepared for a challenging driveway. Once you are there you won’t want to leave as the Mountain View is mesmerizing! The house is well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We cooked several meals and had all the equipment needed, including a blender. There are 2 options for dining in or out. As birdwatchers we were very excited by our many bird sightings- many fruit trees on property appreciated by the wildlife. Hot tub up a steep hill but clean and feels very private.highly recommend this property.

This property is a little gem. Very clean and comfortable with spectacular views. The hammock and hot tub perfectly complete the Santa Fe experience. Host provided complimentary chips and salsa which were enjoyed one afternoon over card games at the table on the veranda in the afternoon shade. Doesn’t get any better!

Beautiful and peaceful setting

What an amazing home and location! My spouse and I lived in Santa Fe from 1999-2004 and returned this past week with our teenage sons to show them our former home. It was a memorable trip for that reason but staying at this property made it all the more special. We started and ended every day soaking in that view and felt so peaceful and relaxed throughout our stay. The location is perfect for exploring both the mountains and the downtown and we loved how much thought went into the design of this green home. Thanks again!

So much more than expected!!

This house was fantastic! As others have mentioned, there are some treats from the host waiting for you when you arrive. We are a family of 6, and there was plenty of room for us all. The grounds are beautiful are serene. We all enjoyed spending time outside - either in the hammock, walking to the hiking trails, sitting on the porch, eating dinner outside, or stargazing from the hot tub. The location is so great for getting to various parts of town, and just hanging out at the house was awesome, too! Thank you for a great stay. We will definitely return!! One comment: the kitchen is so stocked with kitchen items that there wasn’t really storage for them pantry-type food we brought, but the refrigerator has plenty of space for cold items.

A great place to stay in Santa Fe

The location was ideal for our first extended stay in Santa Fe. It’s only 10 minutes from the square but right next to the trails we wanted to hike. The Dale Ball trails made me want to go back and get my bike! The house is quiet and comfortable. Most times are provided (bring aluminum foil and oils if you want to cook). The two main bedrooms are on separate ends of the house. If you plan on using the den as a bedroom know that it contains the TV and anyone in the main bedroom has to walk through the room to get to the kitchen area. The hot tub area is great, private and comfortable. Our host provided wine and chips when we checked in.

Relaxing Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Santa Fe.. The house was perfectly situated right off the canyon trails, and we enjoyed exploring the area. The decor was beautiful. From the tile work, to the wonderful pieces of art/pottery, and the numerous genres of books, we very much appreciated all of the details in the house. The welcome goodies, well appointed kitchen, and custom toiletries were perfect additions for our stay. Views from the hot tub deck, and from all of the open French doors were amazing. We had an early flight out after our stay, and the sunrise isn't to be missed!

Great views but be aware

The home has many nice touches including a well equipped kitchen and spice rack, plus those disposables that are so needed. The appliances are new; there was no hood when you use the stove so smells and heat build up. There was plenty of firewood but it was too hot. But be aware: this home is not air conditioned and while 10 years ago this worked because the days weren't as hot, we hit the 90's just about every day. It was difficult to get a good air flow as the main dining/living space has no screened doors or windows and bedroom screen was broken in master on one window. When we cooked, even with two fans on, it got pretty hot. Also this home is located on a dirt road that was rocky and full of ruts and bumps and hilly/curvy. We had a heavy vehicle but being large, we couldn't easily turn around on the "street". It made driving a challenge esp when we went out at night. But the views are great, and we enjoyed our stay. Was really clean and plenty of linens provided.

Gorgeous house

This house is perfect. It's a beautiful property and the location is great. It's within walking distance to multiple great hiking trails, but also a really short drive into the city. I especially loved the bird houses and watching all the birds come and go in the morning.
