Perfect Condo

We had a fantastic stay at this Santa Barbara condo! The space was spotless and very well maintained, which made us feel right at home. One of the best parts was the thoughtful extras—beach supplies like chairs, towels, and umbrellas were provided, which made our beach days super easy and enjoyable. The location was great for exploring the area, and overall, everything was smooth and stress-free. Just a few things to note: the space is great! Very well appointed, clean and comfortable. The location is great too! Close to State Street and all the action. If you are at all sensitive to noise, please be cautious. There is little to no insulation between units and you can here a lot. We could clearly hear the neighbors. Other than that it’s a great space!

Great Villa a few blocks from downtown Santa Barbara

We had a fabulous February stay in the Castillo Villas during our Santa Barbara trip. We traveled with our high school daughter. We found the property very convenient to the downtown area and walked back and forth, even at night without concern. The Villas are located in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Each of the 2 bedrooms had a comfortable king bed and an it’s own updated bathroom. Our daughter used the hall bathroom but it was just as nice as our attached bathroom. We loved the open and updated kitchen living/dining area. The TV worked great. My husband enjoyed reading in the common outdoor area in the mornings and a designated parking area was a plus. We would love to stay here again when visiting the area.

Exceptional property, excellent location

We loved everything about this property. It was clean and spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The location is within walking distance of State Street, downtown and a great grocery store. We enjoyed the beautiful weather in the backyard, utilizing the barbecue and spacious seating area. Having off street parking was a real bonus. This property is one of the best we have ever visited.

Unit 4 was beautiful and in a quiet neighborhood. Newish, with modern style, open floor plan and high ceilings. Lovely outdoor space at the back of the building. Nicely appointed and comfy beds. Perfect for a relaxing weekend with the girls. Responsive management office. Highly recommend!

The overall place was fine
.however there were some things that were not. The neighboring unit had a very noisy child who ran around upstairs pounding loudly . The outdoor area was not well maintained
one of the bbqs did not work and the general area was dirty and therefore not an inviting space. The automatic light/fan in the bathrooms was totally unnecessary and irritating
one night it went on and woke us at 2:30. The chairs at the dining table were too low for the height of the table, making it necessary to pile pillows in the seats. Overall, the space was nicely appointed and clean.

Great Accommodations

The property is in a great neighborhood and good walking distance to so much of downtown Santa Barbara. Everything was great, including the parking, finishes, linens, kitchen and bathroom amenities and the beds were super comfy. The only negative — which is why I gave the rating of a 4 instead of 5 — was the absence of adequate insulation in the floors and walls so you can hear your neighbors in the units very easily. We weren’t home enough to let it bother us, but you should be aware in case you are a light sleeper or distracted by noise.

Walkable Santa Barbara

We enjoyed this Villa and appreciate that it was very CLEAN! Pictures are accurate. We were able to walk to a grocery store, fine and casual dining spots and even the beach (about 1.5 miles). Everything was in working order (TV, dishwasher, etc). The walls (or floors?) transfer walking sounds from other units. But- nothing kept us up at night. Parking option was convenient. There were no beach towels in our unit- and no concierge service- so they were unable to drop them off in time for our plans. That was disappointing. Other than that one glitch - lovely unit and enjoyed our stay in Santa Barbara very much. We’d like to come back!

What a pleasant surprise!

Quiet, quiet, quiet! Which was a surprise since it is fairly close to the freeway! Clean, clean, clean! Spotless!!!! And the beds were fabulously cozy and comfortable! Both my friend and I have bad hips and backs but these beds were so comfortable, we wanted to bring them home with us! Great stay!!!!
