Summary:

Welcome to Loggerhead Cay #251! This is a two bedroom, two bath, ground level residence located in the exclusive Loggerhead Cay community of Sanibel Island. Newly renovated as of 2023, this residence is sure to please even the most discerning of guests. Near to beaches, on/off causeway access, restaurants, and shopping- Guests will enjoy boundless opportunities to make memories that will last a lifetime!



The Space:

Loggerhead Cay #251 is a two-bedroom, two bathroom fully equipped condominium located on the east end of Sanibel Island. The unit is incredibly bright and spacious and comfortably sleeps up to six people. The master bathroom offers a king size bed with en-suite private bathroom. The second bedroom offers two twin beds. The main living area offers a pull-out Queen sleeper sofa and 65 inch smart TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you would need for making full meals during your stay. Appliances are new, and there is a washer and dryer located within the unit. Other offerings include high-speed wireless internet, beach equipment for your use including chairs and an umbrella. Linens and beach towels are included. This unit is a short three-to-four-minute walk to the sand from your door. It is located in building two on the first floor. There is an assigned parking space located directly behind the unit. Please note that this unit is pet-friendly for guests with one dog up to 25 pounds in size not members of a restricted breed or class (such as Rottweiler, Doberman, and German shepherd, among other breeds). If you are uncertain if your breed may be a restricted breed please contact us prior to making your reservation. There is a non-refundable $149 pet fee.



Guest Access:

From an access perspective, guests will enjoy full access to Loggerhead Cay amenities, as well as dedicated access to the Loggerhead Cay #251 parking space.



The Neighborhood:

Loggerhead Cay is located on the highly desirable East End of Sanibel Island, adjacent to beaches, shopping, and restaurants but most importantly providing guests with easy on/off access to the causeway via Lindgren Blvd., just a few hundred feet from the entrance to the Loggerhead Cay association.



Getting Around:

We recommend rental bikes or car for getting around the island, as most restaurants, shopping, and activities are located more than one mile away from Loggerhead Cay.



Other Things to Note:

Guests must complete a rental agreement prior to their stay, the content of this rental agreement will be sent upon confirming you booking in the form of an eSign request containing the rental agreement. E-Bikes are not allowed on property.

A non-refundable cancellation fee of $100 will apply for reservations cancelled prior to the cancellation policy window. This fee covers our credit card processing fees on a refunded deposit payment.



Interaction with Guests:

We are available as often as needed but provide guests the space they desire in order to afford them a relaxing and tranquil vacation.

Beautiful Property

Perfect spot! Unit was beautiful and clean. Pool and beach were amazing, even got to swim with a dolphin one morning in the Gulf. Property owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Loved it!

Excellent condo!

Very clean and beautiful condo in a great location on Sanibel. The owner was very easy to communicate with! There were beach chairs, and umbrella and pickleball equipment to use. The pool at the condo is fabulous! The board games were at hit with my family too. The no-see-ums were out in full force so bring the bug spray.

A little gem on Sanibel Island.

This newly updated condominium was first rate. Immaculate, thoughtfully appointed, and just a short walk to the pool and beach, it was a quiet oasis for our two week getaway. The owner was most gracious, quickly responded to our questions, and had provided virtually everything one could need while away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Fantastic Condo!

This condo on Sanibel Island was absolutely amazing! It had everything our family of 5 needed during our week long stay. Very comfortable beds, very well equipped kitchen, and the perfect ground floor location near the pool. They have obviously worked very hard to open back up after hurricane Ian. All the beach towels and chairs were an added bonus, especially since we flew instead of driving. 110% recommend!

Clean, bright and comfortable

We loved our stay here, everything is exactly as described. Very comfortable home with lots of facilities. Super close to the pool and parking outside. Unexpected surprise was the fact there was spices/sugar/coffee and filters left from previous renters. We did the good thing and left our goodies for future guests paying forward but lovely to arrive and have basics (including disposable kitchen towels, detergent etc). A nice box of sunscreen if you need in emergency. Great comms by Gretchen the property manager, really useful and much appreciated including the help in getting packages delivered. Only warning for visitors is to bring some bug spray. Early morning and dusk you get attacked by noseems (or biting midges) on the beach (not on the property)

Great Location and Comfortable Stay

Overall we loved our stay at Gretchen’s place. Check in was a breeze and it isn’t far off of the causeway. Being on the first floor is super convenient to go to the pool or beach. The only issue is the main shower didn’t drain well which was a little concerning but Gretchen was very responsive and offered a solution. I would rebook without question.

This was a great location. Ground floor, very easy access to the beach. Could use a deep cleaning of the floors, carpet and beneath furniture. It would be helpful to have an information packet prior to check in. Bicycles are a must and should be reserved ahead of visit if possible. This can be difficult when the prospect of cancellation exists due to Covid. Limited info provided regarding complex amenities, tennis courts combination, kayak availability? Very reasonably priced.

The unit was as stated. Very comfortable. Clean. Safe neighborhood. It was our first stay to Captiva and we discovered quickly we prefer Captiva so we drove out there everyday. This location is very residential about a mile away from restaurants and shops. Gretchen was super friendly, really quick to accommodate, and a great hostess!

Stay with Kids on Sanibel

We had a great time here with our 3 young kids! As other reviewers have mentioned, it was stocked with beach and sand toys and there was easy access to the beach and pool. The people were friendly and the stay was clean, with lots of essentials already provided for guests to use. The host was incredibly responsive and kind. Would definitely return here with the kids!

great for families

Pros-Gretchen has thought of all your needs . A well stocked home and calming blue decor. Good books, games and puzzles for the kids . tvs and phone land lines .VERY clean , well groomed complex . Easy walk to beach . Nice screened in porch on ground floor with a great selection of beach chairs, water floats and a beach umbrella. You can make whatever you want in the well stocked kitchen with 2 styles of coffee makers , pod style and regular . Easy access laundry room too. The condo faces south so it was cool and dark . Safe key code door lock . CONS -Only a few windows let in limited light with heavy window coverings this allow you to make it VERY dark and keep any light or heat out . This works well if you like a cool calming interior after a day in the hot sun and also you can make it very private. If you want a sunny light filled condo this one is not for you. If it rains and you are spending time inside be aware this condo will feel dark and cool . It rained and was partially overcast during my stay . I left 3 days early due to the lack of sunny light inside and out . due to the cooler weather I wish there had been few more than one small blanket in the master bedroom. The hot water heater was VERY load it may need replacing .I would not have been able to sleep in the second bedroom due where it is located . I was not able to use my i phone in the condo. I am sure this is the case with many hurricane proof condos. Once again Gretchen has done all she can to make this condo the best it can be. She is a super host the and the price is very fair.
