The hotel manager shouldn't write, that the hotel offers breakfast, because there you can only get: coffee, yoghurt, and if you're a lucky guest -sometimes a bagel, that comes from the fridge. The only possibility to have a breakfast in this hotel is to go to the next supermarket and buy some food.

Eine Umgebung geprägt von Drogenabhängigen, Obdachlosen und kriminellen Banden. Die angeblich vorhandene Parkgarage ist nicht im Hotel und erfordert, dass das Gepäck durch eine Zone mit aggressiven Gestalten aus der Drogenszene transportiert werden muss. Für diese Dinge kann das Hotel nichts - dennoch kann man die Lokation nur rubusten Naturen empfehlen, die sich im Zweifel gegen die aggressiven Junkies zu verteidigen wissen.

The area was definitely not somewhere you would feel safe to take a walk at night and the hotel is located right at the middle of downtown around the corner of Tenderloin. My view from the 5th floor was that of at least 10 homeless people at all times plus suspicious drug activity; loud music and nonstop talking yelling and arguing basically couldn’t sleep at all. Definitely won’t be going back and don’t recommend it.

The property is absolutely amazing!! The hotel is in a perfect location that is walking distance to multiple bus stops and to the Union Square. Many tour options pcik up from nearby as well. The staff are the most friendly staff i have ever encountered! Not only will they greet you at the door, but also to and from their way to work if they see you. All staff gave great reccommendations of places to visit and eat. The hotel is located near the tenderlion district - which is known for homelessness and can be quite noisy at night. Earplugs were provided for all occupants of the room though! Although Expedia states there is a breakfast - it is not a full nor a hot breakfast. Coffee, water, tea are constantly available through the day. A microwave is located at the bar/front desk as well. We had no issues making instant oatmeal with the complimentary breakfast bar though it can be inconvenient for others. Muffins, yogurt cups and fruit are served for breakfast. Overall i would absolutely recommend staying at the Bijou to anyone!

This hotel is beautiful!!! They’re extremely hospitable and welcoming. They care about you so much even though you’ll only be there for a few days. The lobby was a great place to hang out. It was super close to all the public transports. They even brought a portable fridge up for us upon request. I would absolutely stay there again!

Difficult to rate this hotel. Everything about the property is great, including staff. It’s just the location is what really gets under my skin. Since it’s right in the middle of downtown San Francisco, there’s lots and lots of homeless and trash everywhere. So much feces in the street and all over the side walk, I really don’t know how people can do it. Again everything else about the hotel is amazing. Definitely will stay at one of their other locations!

The price is great, but I didn't realize I was in a high-crime area. Homeless lurked in the streets; some talking to themselves; others sharing drugs; others high on something. This was daytime. I wouldn't dare walk at night. Garage parking was down the street and my car was safe. The ADA bathroom shower (large bathroom) was not adequately protected from all the water spilling onto the flooring. The showerhead was attached facing the shower curtain so of course the water would be flooding the floor because there was not high enough railing to block the water on the floor inside the shower. There is no screen the window so you can't really leave it open. No a/c but if there had been a screened window, it wouldn't be so warm at night and stuffy. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was very spartan; I mean, they just had a muffin and the little yogurt cups and coffee. Bagels and cream cheese would help. Cereal, too. Also, bananas, oranges; not hard apples. Towels had lint on them. It was not a horrible stay. Just the little things would've made it terrific. Again, the area is not safe. That's a concern. At night, I heard a man screaming; car alarms going on; loud music from cars driving by, and we were on the 5th floor.

Hotel is perfect for if you just want a centrally located bed for the night. Small room w/ no AC, no minifridge, breakfast is mostly just yogurt & muffins. Its in a great location to get to touristy places but be prepared to walk through & interact with the large amounts of unhoused people. Staff was really sweet thank you!

Really cool spot in a convenient location. Staff was top notch and the hotel has a cool style to it. Couple things to note, there is no AC but they do provide box fans… And I was in a pet friendly room, but there was not a screen on the window, so I couldn’t let the air from the outside when it got hot at night. I plan on staying again!

The staff stand out at this wonderful hotel. Jonah, Punya, and Chris were brilliant, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is situated 2 blocks from the Powell St BART station. The rooms are good, although TV remotes didn’t work from more than a foot’s distance and some bathroom fixtures needed work. But the helpfulness and positive attitude of the staff made this a stellar visit.

This property is in a location that is convenient to everything, but red light district. The last straw was the last night of my stay the hotel across the street, someone was stabbed and the whole area was blocked off. Also, no restaurant or bar inside as advertised. I was told they are looking for someone to work in the kitchen. No key code access, you have to punch in a code to get into the hotel, which most times does not work and you have to use that same code to punch in to get into your room. Room is small, but the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice. The homeless people as well as sketchy people all around the side of and front of the hotel, was a safety concern. The breakfast , is and was very disappointing, apple, muffin, yogurt. Stay here at your own risk.

Chris and all the front desk staff were awesome. The location is at the edge of an area that is a little rough, but it is right in the heart of the city. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. And right by the BART station. Rooms are very nice. Modern and clean. Great value for the price. My only complaint is that they do need to up their continental breakfast game. There is a little coffee stand with great middle eastern pastries near by, maybe consider bringing in some local bakery items to give the breakfast more appeal. All in all though very happy with my choice!

The room was cute, nice, and clean, however there were a lot of inconveniences and some amenities that were listed that were not available. The restaurant is closed, the room did not have a fridge or a robe as listed, the TV relies on internet which was extremely unstable- I couldn't watch anything for hours and then when it did work, it'd cut out every 3 min for several min or more at a time. The bed didn't have a top sheet, just the comforter which was odd. The adorable claw foot bathtub had no plug so I couldn't enjoy a bath. Also they don't use key cards, you're given a code to enter the front door and your room and it doesn't always work, so I got locked out of my room. It was frustrating. The area immediately surrounding the hotel is pretty unsafe with addicts laying on the sidewalks. It wasn't a terrible stay, the room is cute and clean, but I probably wouldn't go back unless some of the other things were changed.

Staff was super nice. As many reviews said the street outside has a lot of uh… San Francisco unhooked characters. That being said their front door stays locked all the time. The hotel was cute and very clean. For the price I don’t think I could beat it especially for the location. Would for sure go back.

The hotel staff try to make the best of a terrible location. ALL night you hear ruckus outside, with sirens from the conveniently located police station up the street. The hotel was recently shined up, and has a few cute features, but overall it's a very underwhelming experience. Beds were very bouncy, in an uncomfortable way. I booked 2 queens, but I'm positive they were only full size beds. The in house restaurant is not currently operating, & the included “breakfast” was muffins you warm yourself in a microwave & yogurt literally left out next to (not in) an ice bath. Every morning I couldn't wait to get up & out of there because it was stressing me out to hear fighting, yelling & other nonsense well into the night. The hotel knows…earplugs provided bedside, and property doors are locked 24/7 with code access for guests. I won't return.

スタッフの対応がとても良かったです。荷物の預かりや観光地の紹介などとても丁寧な対応でした。またバスルームはリフォームされていて綺麗でした。ホテルの向かい通りの治安が悪く、夜の音楽やバイクの音、人の声などが気になりました。

The place is really great. Only issue is the loud music and poeple that are staying up all night every night. If that doesn't bother your, bring earplugs for a good night of sleep. It's close to everything so it's easy to go everywhere. Staff is super nice.

Overall its a wonderful hotel for the price. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Unfortunately the main problem is not in their control and thats the places around them. Furst night some drunk person set off fireworks and they launched right in the air near my window before going off. Scared the crap out of me. Other than the noise at night is a beautoful hotel.

Overall, the stay was amazing. The staff do a great job of making guests feel wonderful. They are helpful when there is something that needs attention, and do their best to alleviate the issue. There was a minor issue with something needing cleaning in my room and the staff dealt with it very well. Unfortunately the area around the hotel is a bit noisy, so plan to bring noise cancelling headphones/play white noise for easier sleep at night. Jonah was a particularly great staff member who was welcoming, friendly, and great to chat with. I would definitely stay here again! Some minor amenities were slightly lacking (no bowls when we requested it), but I understand this hotel is under new management who are doing their best. The vibe of the staff was incredible. I would recommend this hotel as a nice, more affordable alternative to the Hilton, Hyatt, etc, while still being quite central and close. The decor is also quite stylish and interesting.
