Duck Luck
Very well maintained grounds and the cabin was comfortable. Peace and quiet for the most part as can be expected on a farm. The hosts were attentive and provided everything you could ask for. As the title entails, 2 dozen duck were always around but, not a nuisance. Watching large catfish, bass, bluegill and turtles in the pond was nice.

Fantastic Stay
The cabin and property were exactly as described. The lake was out the back door with a great dock to fish and relax. The porch all around the cabin had more options to sit and relax. The cabin was clean and well furnished. The owner introduced his self and was there if we needed anything. It is in a good peaceful location but close enough to stores if we needed anything. There is a Kroger and Dollar General a short distance away. We caught a lot of fish. One of the catfish was huge and fun to catch. Overall a very nice stay and will definitely go back.

Gorgeous getaway!
This place was magical! The water surrounding the cabin is very peaceful and we loved feeding the ducks!! I would say you definitely need a truck or 4x4 to navigate the driveway but if you are looking for a place to unwind and unplug this is it!

This property and cabin were breathtaking. We enjoyed our stay very much. Just what we needed to escape the stress of busy work schedules and responsibilities. Do not miss out!
The listing underestimates the property first of all. It is much better than you can imagine. Peaceful Valley is exactly the proper name. Now, add 2 of the nicest people have ever met in Timmy and Rose. Spoke with Timmy almost daily. What a good man and family. I will say that Timmy and I are friends. Quiet, Peaceful Getaway
The Island Cabin is everything described and more. Great communication with the owners. The ease of checking in was great. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Close enough to town if you needed anything. Great place to come to for relaxation and rest. We wasn’t disappointed and even caught a few fish. Hope to return one day!

Tranquility
My husband and I enjoyed our stay, it was very peaceful and the views were beautiful, we enjoyed feeding the fish and the ducks were quite entertaining, loved the different birds and dragonflies. We walked around some and went to the creek. We enjoyed the calmness away from the hectic busy life. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property with us, very clean and description of the property was just as described, thanks again. Only negative, it stated it had a blow dryer and it did not, lol. But all positive all the way around, definately would recommend the stay to other if they are looking for a peaceful and calming stay.

Peaceful Getaway!
This little cabin has everything you need to enjoy time away from cellphones and Wi-Fi! We enjoyed getting up early and going out for a stroll on the fishing boat as well as making breakfast on the black stone overlooking the pond on the porch. It’s only about 20 minutes from State Dock to Lake Cumberland where we were able to enjoy boating days with our friends who stayed elsewhere. Timmy was very nice upon checking in and we enjoyed getting to talk to him for a bit! If you want peace and quiet, this is the place to be! 😀

Absolutely Beautiful!!
The cabin we stayed in was cozy, very clean (you could have eaten off the floor clean) inviting and has everything you need for a short, or a long stay! The furniture and the bed were quite comfy, along with the outdoor seating as well! The peacefulness....if you want quiet, and I mean quiet, this is your place! We were welcomed each morning with an orchestra of birds singing, and once the ducks knew we were up and moving, they came over to visit! We fell in love with those ducks! Due to a cold spring the fish weren't biting much, but you can visually see there are plenty in there to catch! We did however, catch about fifteen fish!! We kept seeing a VERY large bass that we named Walter from the movie "On Golden Pond!" Haha! Having a boat at your fingertips was great, not only to fish from, but also to float around the lake! We left Illinois without a tan, and returned with a tan! In the evening hours, we sat on the wrap around deck which was a huge plus, and listened to an owl who visited every single evening of our five day stay! The Blackstone Griddle was amazing! I cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner on it! We will be buying one soon, just like Timmy said we would! OH, I can't forget Timmy! He is definitely one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting with you Timmy!! Thank you for your hospitality and letting us relax and recoup in your beautiful cabin. We will be back!!

Spring Break Getaway
My husband and I visited the peaceful valley island cabin for a spring break getaway from our busy lives in Michigan. This place was everything we needed. It was very quiet and peaceful. We caught lots of fish, grilled on the black stone every night, and enjoyed the peacefulness. The cabin was very clean and tiny and super accommodating. We had some nice conversations with Timmy, he was very friendly and helpful. We hope to return!

Wonderful!
This is a beautiful cabin and location and the hosts couldn’t be better. We had a great time and loved being surround by water. It was too cold to fish although we gave it a short try, but we are hoping to return again during a warmer season. Everything you could need was provided and we enjoyed Timmy’s chats and feeding the friendly ducks. Highly recommend.

This was our second visit to this cabin, we just love it there! The owners are excellent hosts, very welcoming and accommodating. Perfect spot for some R&R, especially fishing. We can’t wait to book our next visit for the spring. The only thing I wish they had was an internet connection.

Island Cabin Retreat
This cabin (and the location) were even better than pictures showed. Definitely got the peace and quiet we desired. No WiFi, but that was a good thing. We needed to unplug. Loved the unexpected friends (14 ducks) who would swim by and visit every so often. Timmy was also an unexpected friend who was wonderful to chat with when he’d stop by—just a downright upstanding and entertaining host. We never met Rose, but she had that cabin spotless and smelling wonderful. Nothing but good things were written in the guest journal about her and Timmy. They have a great set up there. A+

Honeymoon
The cabin, property and pond was very clean and well maintained. The cabin came fully furnished with everything you needed even a really nice Blackstone grill. Just bring your food ,drinks and fishing equipment. We caught some really nice fish. Got to talk with Timmy the property owner and a really nice guy . Not one single complaint about anything. We will definitely be back .

We had a wonderful weekend fishing and relaxing at this property. Since it’s catch & release, there’s plenty of fish to be caught, including the 15 lb. catfish my husband caught. Star gazing was also amazing! There are some great local restaurants, but check before you go. Most of them were closed on Sunday due to staffing issues. The hosts were very friendly and checked on us a couple times. We’re hoping to go again this fall!

Amazing Place
I brought my girlfriend down for both of us to unplug from the hustle and bustle of city life. What a beautiful and peaceful place to unplug. We were greeted by a plate of delicious and amazing red velvet mini cakes and a beautiful cabin to relax enjoy. My girlfriend named to two white ducks (Betty and Otis). We enjoy fishing, the boat and the fire pit We caught catfish, bluegills, crappie and a nice size bass. Rose and Timmy thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with others. We will definitely be back Michael McBride.

a perfect place to run away to
This fishing cabin was amazing and the owners were just as great. The cabin was clean and stocked with all the essentials. My husband and I caught 11 fish over the long weekend including a huge catfish! The boat was an awesome addition that we were able to utilize. We can't wait to come back again! My only complaint is the bed... the mattress and pillows were uncomfortable.

Fresh air
This was such a great experience and just what my husband and I needed. The location and house are amazing. The ease of just walking in music playing and a tasty treat made by Rose made you feel like you were right at home. Timmy came around to check on us and answer any questions we had and he's a lovely social guy! We didn't get to meet rose but we definitely let it known that we appreciated her and timmy and our stay. Even if your not in to fishing it is also fun to feed the fish. Worst part of this stay was having to leave... but this is a see ya later and not Good bye.

Anniversary weekend
Property was amazing!! The owners were friendly and kind. Treats were left for our arrival, fire started and waiting. Beautiful grounds and everything we could need in the cabin. We will be back again
