„Just had a really enjoyable stay at The Horse and Farrier in Threlkeld. The staff are excellent and go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The accomodation was excellent, very clean and tidy with great views. The food for both breakfast and evening meal was truly delicious and the selection of real ales was top notch. Easy to walk into Keswick along the wagonway or get the bus from right outside. Would totally recommend.“

Allerdings ließ der Service wg. zu wenig Personal, ergo nicht abgeräumte Frühstückstische, schleppender Check in, Zimmer wurden nicht gemacht sehr zu wünschen übrig. Das Frühstück war mäßig (kein Obst, bis hin zur Kaffeetasse und zum Messer musste alles selbst an den Tisch gebracht werden).

„The property is very nice, quiet surroundings and the perfect view you will expect from a hotel this price. The food is above expectation with a totally different menu 2 nights of stay. A final point that the staff are amazing particularly April and Poppy, fantastic waitresses who care for their guests dinner, stay and well being.“

Wir hatten bei unserem Aufenthalt im August leider das Pech wegen des extrem schlechten Wetters - ca 14 Grad, Regen und starkem Wind- praktisch nichts im Freien unternehmen zu können. "
