Everything was better than expected ! We arrived at 11pm and Alex came to welcome us. He was so Nice! The house was clean and the towels and sheets smell so good. The private beach is only a few steps from the house We would go back anytime

Primrose Perfection
Maine is spectacular in mid-October. The Primrose Apartment was the perfect location to see the colorful leaves, visit lighthouses and enjoy all both Rockland and Camden have to offer. Alex and Siobhan were gracious, thoughtful and kind hosts. The view of Glen Cove from both the kitchen window and the deck is stunning. The Primrose was the perfect property and location for our stay.

Okay location, nice view
Good view, nice beds, roomy for 2 to 4 people. The rental is pretty true to the description. Clean and comfortable. But it is close to the highway and the beach access is tricky with wet rocks at the end of the path.

Thank you for the review and delighted you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the wet rocks at the end of the walkway to the beach. I did bring this to your notice at check in, as we just had a huge storm with extreme amounts of rain which is not the norm. The storm saturated the ground which resulted in pools of water at the end of the walkway and this took a fews days to dry out. We are always on top of keeping our walkway accessible but we cannot control Mother Nature.

My wife and I choose to make this part of our 10 day vacation as our wind down time. The house was centrally located and allowed us to make several day trips. The house was very well stocked and very comfortable. We would stay again.

Comfy house on the cove
We had a three-night stay in the house on Glen Cove last week. The house was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The hosts were lovely - Alex met us at the house to give us the quick tour and all else we communicated by text. The house was as advertised. The view was really nice and the location was super convenient for getting up and down Route 1 as the street was right off of it. We had everything we needed from paper towels to nice bath towels to comfy beds to TVs up and down to a nice selection of candy treats on the kitchen table at arrival! We were lucky to even have 5-star weather, but that was just a wonderful extra. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

Excellent experience
My wife and I stayed here while we celebrated our anniversary. Property is perfectly located. Close to Rockland, as well as Rockport and Camden. Very nice view. House was extremely clean. Towels and linens were very good quality. Appliances clean and in working order. Plenty of dishes, utensils. Bed was very comfortable. Alex was great to meet. Super friendly and a great storyteller. Siobhan was a prompt and friendly communicator with all email / messaging questions. We would definitely recommend staying here. We had a wonderful experience.

We had a great stay at this house. We loved the location; we walked down to the beach in front of the property every day and enjoyed being close to Rockland/Rockport/Camden. We also drove to Birch Point State Park - a great place for families! Would love to come back to this part of Maine.

Just needs a bit of lounging comfort…
This place was immaculate. The views from the kitchen, living room and deck were beautiful! Hosts were lovely. We would have re-booked if there had been something inviting to lounge on. The living room furniture was old and worn, the upright chairs on the deck were fine for dining, but not for curling up with a book or to enjoy the sun, and the king mattress was very thin. The beach in the backyard was amazing and only steps from the house! But because it’s rocky, It would have been perfect to have a beach chair to bring down to sit and watch the boats go by. We would have brought our own had we known.

Thank you for staying with us and we’re sorry you found some faults with our rental which I have to address. We strive for the best and put great effort into trying to achieve and maintain this standard. We really don’t understand all your negative comments . We even tried contacting you and asked you to explain what you’re talking about but you never got back to us. We don’t have any loungers on the deck for the simple reason we would not have the space for them. There is an outdoor dining table with six chairs already on the deck along with a barbecue grill and two large garbage cans. This leaves very little space for loungers. I am actually surprised you even mentioned this as you would know by looking at the deck that there is no room for loungers. Regarding beach chairs, some people bring their own, however we do have beach/anti-gravity chairs that we give out upon request.I spoke to you the day after you checked in and you didn’t mention anything about beach chairs or loungers, in fact you said all is good. You mentioned the king mattress being very thin, we have a 3 inch memory foam mattress topper on the bed so I don’t understand what you mean when you say the mattress was very thin.. We have even run into the problem periodically of getting the bottom sheet on the bed due to it’s thickness but we always manage. Perhaps you mistook the memory foam mattress topper to be the mattress. This memory foam topper is on top of the mattress for more comfort. Finally, you mentioned the living room furniture showing signs of wear. This is news to us as most of the furniture was bought in the last three years. The couch,coffee table and side tables are all relatively new and in great shape so that only leaves the leather chair/ottoman which is a few years older. It is so super comfortable that we hate to part with it as we feel it is still very functional and is in fairly good shape (not perfect) though. We are very disappointed you gave us such a poor rating based on not having loungers on the deck. You enjoyed everything else and also appreciated the place being immaculate.

Lovely Place
The unit itself is nice, amply sized for a 2 bedroom, but the private deck, yard and beach are just incredible. The cove has a great sandy swim beach at high tide, and at low tide it's wonderful for exploring. I couldn't believe how private the beach was or how private the whole place felt, given its proximity to Rte 1. Alex and Siobhan made the process easy and were very welcoming. We celebrated my kiddo's 11th birthday here and she's already asked to return next year for more.

Alex met us at property before scheduled check in time which we appreciated. He was very social and friendly. We were very comfortable throughout our stay. It was just as depicted...no surprises. The neighbors had children and the noise did penetrate through the walls, but was not of long duration. We slept very well in the air-conditioned bedrooms and comfortable beds, and the location was great for restaurants and sight seeing. The wi fi worked very well. Paper goods and cleaning soaps , along with hand soaps were provided. This was a quality stay.

Perfect stay - gorgeous views
The apartment was just as described. Wi-fi worked great, shower as well; TV has cable. Washer/dryer easy to use. The stairs to the upstairs are very steep and narrow, in case that is an issue. The views are amazing. Although the views look just like the pictures in the listing, they are even more beautiful when experiencing them from the kitchen, living room and deck. The deck is wonderful. The location of the apartment is also perfect. Right off Route 1, which is hard to imagine when you are in the apartment, with easy access to all that Maine has to offer. This is a great place.

Siobhan and Alex were attentive hosts and keep a very clean unit. Beautiful view and steps from the cove where the kids looked for sea glass, shells, and could wade/swim. Felt like a private beach! Wonderful!
The place was so relaxing. The area had easy access to shops, grocery stores and downtown. But the best part was the ocean at your doorstep. Each morning, made coffee and took a quick walk down to the beach. And… if you like seaglass and exploring then this is the place for you. Siobhan and Alex are fantastic hosts! Communication was clear and helpful. The house was clean and smelled good. The cove is wonderful and was a special highlight of our trip. Perfect cottage for a family or small group of friends
This cozy cottage was ideal for a mom getaway. I could walk down to the water day and night, coming back to the comfortable house that provided all of the essentials. Unless you have the windows open, the proximity to Route 1 is really not a factor, and a white noise machine is more than sufficient at night. Alex and Siobhan were wonderful hosts and I highly recommend this vacation rental.

Great stay!
We had a lovely stay on the water. The condo was super clean and well cared for. The view of the water is lovely. There is a bit of a hill to get down to access the water so if there is a mobility challenge it could take some work to get down there, but they did the best they could to make it easier with the boardwalk and railing. The beach is lovely. Full of rocks and shells to pick through. We enjoyed sitting and watching the tide come in. Alex was a superb host, very responsive and have us good recommendations. One of the mattresses is pillowy soft and the other harder. Good variety for different sleeping preferences.

Like being at home
Very well equipped home. Some may find the steep, narrow staircase to the upper floor daunting, but we three older women were fine. Lovely view of the cove. Great location for exploring midcoast Maine.

Excellent! ! Loved the view! The house was very clean and very cozy. We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was modern and fully equipped with all you would need if you chose to cook your own meals. The owners were very nice. We only got to meet Alex whom was such a gentleman and very knowledgeable in terms of the area attractions. Our texts were always answered promptly. We hope to return some day in the future.

Beach adventures
The cove provides access to plenty of little adventures for our young children. Timing low tide in order to walk out hundreds of feet and uncover hermit crabs, actual crabs, and sea shells made for hours of discovery during our stay. The owners checked in often to ensure our stay was pleasant in a gracious and thoughtful way which provided warmth to our vacation that you can’t quite pick up at a hotel.
