8/10
I would have expected that the odd requirements of staying at this property would have been strongly noted up front. First time we have stayed at a place that “had a contract” with the local government and had to scan the drivers license of every adult staying. We also had to agree to: “… I (we) consent to the release of information regarding my (our) stay at the Hotel to the County of…”. There were two other stipulations that we had to acknowledge, but the one that involved scanning our licenses and approving sharing our stay information (it was only for one night), the latter which if we didn’t approve, we wouldn’t be spending the night. This felt a bit like a police state rule and was very troubling.
The hotel was very clean. The staff were very friendly. Some furniture in the room was showing some fairly advanced wear and tear. Refrigerator/freezer was knocking all night. Overall, for convenience to where we needed to go to in the morning and the economical price for one night, we would probably stay again. But we would feel much better if it didn’t feel like we were staying at a hotel in a police state.
