I recently stayed at this Quality Inn, and while there were a few positives, the overall experience was quite frustrating. On the plus side, the room itself was decently clean, free of any bad smells, and thankfully had no bugs. However, the hotel was undergoing a major remodel, which ended up severely impacting our stay.
The basic amenities were unreliable. The hot water was completely inconsistent, and at certain points, we had no running water at all. On top of that, our room key cards randomly stopped working multiple times, forcing us to keep going back to the front desk. We also had to specifically request clean towels instead of having them provided automatically.
While I understand renovations can be messy, the staff neglected areas they easily could have kept clean. The hallways were filthy, left littered with trash wrappers and empty drink cups from the construction workers. The side entrance was also completely obstructed by cinder blocks and even more construction trash throughout our entire stay.
To make matters worse, the parking lot was disorganized. The front desk actually called my room early in the morning to ask me to move my car. This was incredibly inconvenient; if they needed that specific parking area for the workers, they should have clearly blocked it off beforehand.
It felt like management was just doing the bare minimum. While the property will probably be much nicer once the remodel is finished, the current lack of care was not fun.
