We stayed here last year before it was going through VRBO and had a much better experience, which made this stay especially disappointing. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this property and will not stay here again.The dishes and utensils were dirty upon arrival, and the cookware was in terrible condition. There was only one very small saucepan and one small skillet, both so worn that food stuck regardless of cooking spray. We couldn’t eat or cook as planned. The property appears to have deferred maintenance, possibly because it is for sale. The bathroom exhaust fans didn’t work, paint was peeling, and fixtures were coming loose from the walls.Although the property advertises quiet hours and no parties, those rules were not enforced. Local visitors gathered, partied, and argued outside until around 11:30 p.m. We eventually had to ask them ourselves to be quiet, and they continued revving their truck afterward. Dogs were also allowed in the pool area. The property tries to maintain a nostalgic look, but it comes at the expense of functionality. The microwave took about three minutes to heat a single hot dog. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows were rock hard.Overall, this property has declined significantly since our previous stay. It needs maintenance, updated kitchen items, and better management and enforcement of its rules.
