Part of the Camp Hawthorne Cottages, Outpost offers a spacious and rustic retreat, featuring aged pine walls throughout and the largest screened porch of all of the cottages — perfect for enjoying fresh air without the bother of bugs. Inside, the large dining and living area creates a welcoming space for meals, games, and relaxation. While the kitchen is compact, the bedrooms are surprisingly spacious, offering comfort after long days of lakeside fun. Modern touches like a 55" smart TV and fast Wi-Fi make it easy to stay connected, whether you’re streaming your favorite shows or working remotely before heading out to enjoy the beach and lake in the evening.

Guests will have access to the communal sandy beach and grassy shore area, shared exclusively among the cottages. Lightly trafficked roads wind through the quiet neighborhood, perfect for peaceful walks. We ask all guests to respect the peaceful atmosphere of the community by avoiding loud music, parties, or late-night activities.

For added convenience, a shared laundry shed with complimentary equipment and extra household supplies is also available for guest use. Please note that this cottage does not have air conditioning or heating and is best suited for guests seeking a quiet, laid-back retreat. In the fall, the docks are removed from the water, slightly reducing the waterfront lounging space, but the open lawn remains perfect for relaxing and enjoying scenic lake views.
