Verbesserungswürdig: Ausstattung und Zustand der Unterkunft
We appreciated the included breakfast and the friendly restaurant staff. The pool and beach seating areas are very crowded, we have been at many resorts and on many cruises but have never seen such an extreme case of "chair hogging". We went for a beach walk at 7 every morning and the front two rows were all reserved with towels, and of course they weren't actually occupied until hours later, if at all. Some folks even told us they got up in the dark to reserve them!! Hotel management doesn't care, it is mostly "owners" doing it so it won't be addressed. At resorts up and down the beach we did not see the same issue.
We were told we would have a partial ocean view but we got a parking lot view. Nothing could be done as they claimed to be overbooked. After waiting to check in we noticed an extreme bleach smell, attributed it to cleaning (the floor was still wet) but later realized it was to mask the smell of mold. We couldn't use the A/C, the mold smell got so much worse. We only used the ceiling fan.
All staff were friendly and helpful with the noticeable exception of front desk staff. The rooms in the tower facing the street open up to the seven story central atrium where sound carries up the open area. Very loud.
