We arrived on Thursday and were not allowed to check in our get a room for hours. They had no safe place to keep our luggage and so were piling people’s luggage in the lobby. There must have been 100 bags and anyone could rummage through them. Even though they gave us wrist bands to start our trip. But we had our passports and wallets and important stuff on us and couldn’t leave it so were bound to sitting in chairs until our rooms were finally ready. We found the front desk staff to not be friendly or helpful. We had on good day enjoying the pool and beach on Friday but by Friday at 6 PM I started throwing up. I vomited for sixteen straight hours and could barely sit up. My finance told the front desk twice and requested a medic and was told “it’s very expensive.” He looked it up on the website and it said it was 1800 dollars to see the resort medic. We could not believe it. I spent all day Saturday in bed (and it was my birthday which we had come to celebrate). By Sunday I was desperate an considered going to a local hospital. Finally the front desk took us seriously and allowed us to see the resort medic for free. We requested to fill out an incident report to have documentation of the illness and they put it off for hours before we finally had to go back and demand it. We could not believe the treatment from a place that got us ill and ruined our trip. They did not care at all. Stay far away! I’ve been to four other resorts in PV and never had an issue.
