Das Motto des Hotels ist ganz originell, Ausstattung allerdings mangelhaft. Bett durchgelegen und knarrt, Fenster aufgrund der AC nicht komplett schließbar, Zimmer ziemlich klein etc. Definitiv keine Empfehlung.

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit coolem Interieur und sehr nettem Personal. Leider sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig und man kann auch das Geschehen von draußen hören.

Nice location, but not if you want a good sleep!
This hotel has a great location and seems to be a local hot spot because of their coffee shop and bar. However if you want a decent night sleep, stay somewhere else. The walls are so thin that you hear every person walking by and the doors opening and closing all night. The bar and location attracts a noisy crowd, so expect a very loud hour between 2-3am. The hotel reception doesn’t respond well to complaints on this topic. The room itself was ok and clean. The bed was very small for two people (120-130cm), and the mattress was very soft that we sunk into it. The shower is tiny. If you don’t want to wash your hair, bring your own shower cap. There is no way to keep it dry with this design. We don’t plan to stay here again.

Best hotel!
Probably one of the best hotels i‘ve ever been to. Super clean and comfortable rooms. Very nice location and the facilites are stylish. The staff is extraordinary friendly and it seems that every single person do their job with love. I wish there where more hotels like this in bigger cities! I am impressed!

Check in problematisch, da Zimmer mit Stockbetten angeboten wurde, das ich aber nicht gebucht hatte. Auf ihrer Buchungsbestätigung steht "Zimmer mit mehreren Betten". Vielleicht sollte man hier genauer sein. Nach Ablehnung des Zimmers meinerseits, wurde nach einiger Zeit ein Zimmer mit Queensizebed gefunden. Dieses hatte ich auch gebucht. Warum nicht gleich dieses angeboten wurde ist mir rätselhaft. Ein weiter Minuspunkt, die riesige Baustelle mit entsprechendem Lärm auf der anderen Straßenseite. Das ist aber ein vorübergehendes Problem.

Super Lage im Zentrum, vieles fußläufig, aber laut
Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage im Zentrum und an der Busstation. Vieles ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Hotel ist allerdings extrem hellhörig (Wände/Türen/Fenster) und sowohl im also vor dem Hotel kann es abends/nachts vorkommen, dass viel gefeiert wird und es entsprechend laut ist. Die Ausstattung des Zimmer ist karg/puristisch, aber schön und besonders. Was fehlte, war wenigstens ein Regal für Kleidung, wenn schon kein Schrank und keine einzige Schublade da ist. Man wusste wirklich nicht, wohin mit den Sachen. Mir persönlich fehlte auch eine Möglichkeit für Heißgetränkte (Wasserkocher oder Mini-Kaffeemaschine). Es gab Snacks auf dem Zimmer und die Möglichkeit, Eiswürfel zu holen, aber keinen Kühlschrank. Die Klimaanlage ist gut.

I wish the property would have indicated how loud the surrounding area was at night. We did not sleep a wink. Additionally the coffee bar was not in service during the hours they said it would be. Lastly, the shower is uncannily small. I was surprised to see such a small shower in a spacious bathroom. Would not recommend.

I had to cancel my reservation, which I was able to do with the Dean hotel. They were extremely accommodating. However, when I tried to reach Expedia to do the same, I was put into an endless loop of customer service and was not able to make any change to my reservation. It was extremely frustrating, and I will not use Expedia again. Pro tip: go directly to the hotel and avoid the middleman.

I rarely submit reviews. This "hotel" is slightly better than a hostel. Don't be fooled by the photos. The entrance has big steps and a heavy door that I had to navigate with a stroller and luggage. Luckily the guy checking in was kind enough to open the door for me as the hotel staff looked on. The elevator is a death trap and definitely illegal. The coffee shop wasn't open 2 out of 3 mornings (our stay was Wed-Sat). When I confronted the staff about it she became defensive and unprofessional. The restaurant is closed and the only drinks/snacks they offer are chips and boxed water). There is an ice machine but no ice buckets. The bathroom is fully tiled with a high gloss finish so the floors get dangerously slippery. Between the karaoke bar and thin walls it was extremely loud (coming from someone that lives on a commercial street in Brooklyn). Good location.

The room smelled foul. I am not sure if it is the cleaning supplies used or air freshener , but it's really awful. I have the windows open and can barely stand it. In addition the room is so small that the door couldn't open all the way because it hit the furniture. My son's dorm room is larger. I love small Indy hotels and stay in them wherever I travel over the large chains but I would have been much more comfortable at the Marriott!

The Dean is well rated by many travel mags but I wonder if any of them have started in the hotel. The front desk staff were efficient but far from friendly, almost like they forgot that they work at the front desk of a hotel. Not a smile or warm welcome from anyone. It was very odd actually. The room, I’m sure photographs very well but some things aren’t super functional. Location is great, in between Federal hill and the train station. And located steps from the LGBT bars.

The bar was the only good part. The room was beautiful - but not functional. Extremely uncomfortable furniture. The sheets were dirty and when the girl came to change them, not only did they not have the right size, she didn’t know how to make a bed. They ended up switching our room, this one didn’t have enough towels and no washcloths. The "bed" was a poorly made futon, not an actual mattress. The shower is so small I'm five feet tall and couldn't bend over to wash my legs. And it was noisy. All. Night. Long. We stayed two nights, didn't sleep for any of it. Do not recommend.

You made us aware of the stained sheets which I agree is not ok and my FD agent rushed up to help remake the bed. The whole time you just screamed at her to the point she didnt feel safe and called me very upset. At that point, I did tell her to just move you to a different room. The suite we moved you does have a mattress. I also wished you brought the noise to our attention as we could of had security look into this and end it. I am sorry you didnt enjoy your stay and do hope you find a hotel that is a better fit for you during your next visit.

Great find! Quirky boutique hotel that has everything you need. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Only thing lacking was a mini fridge in the room. We would stay again!

Hotel très central à l’architecture industrielle début du siècle dernier. Beaucoup de charme. Accueil chaleureux. Ma chambre King se trouvait au 3 ème étage et n’avait pas une des plus belles vues sur la ville. J’ai particulièrement apprécié la grandeur et la décoration de la pièce ainsi que la grande salle de bains. Malheureusement beaucoup de bruits provenant des chambres voisines à l’étage qui m’ont empêché de dormir pendant quelques heures un dimanche matin Je suis mal tombée.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very kind and the room was clean. I had some minor issues with noise from people in the rooms nearby returning to their rooms late and drunk, but this was not the hotel’s fault.

Great location in the heart of downtown. Parking is located directly next to the hotel which is very convenient. The staff was beyond helpful and friendly with recommendations etc.. Couldn't ask for a better spot. One word of advice is the rooms are somewhat small, but they offer everything you could need.

The staff were fantastic and I really appreciated their initiative to consolidate my two reservations so that I didn't have to change rooms. The elevator was quaint, the rooms were spacious, and the noise level was minimal. I loved the note that was specifically left for me, and I appreciated the chance to get a good night's sleep every night I was there. The location was great in terms of easy access to the city bus as well as lots of great cafes and restaurants. I was grateful for the staff member who came up immediately to unclog my toilet late at night. I'd definitely stay again on a future visit!
