The house was very spacious, we had 5 adults and 2 children, there was plenty of room for all of us. The house is close to the beaches and has several playgrounds nearby along with walking trails. It was relaxing and enjoyable to sit on the patio watching the birds, lizards, turtles and alligator in the pond behind the house. The pool heat did not work properly for most of our stay, was cold in the mornings and then would finally heat up in the afternoon. The host was able to fix it for us to enjoy the pool the last 2 days we were there. The kitchen pans can use some updating. There were plenty of sand toys, beach chairs and pool toys to use.

Wonderful vacation

From start to finish excellent vacation. Very easy check in. Host, John was very quick to answer any questions. Pool was divine. Beautiful sunsets. Plenty of birds, alligators, turtles, iguanas, rabbits, and my granddaughter’s favorite geckos. House has everything you need. Especially liked the air fryer. Close to shopping and beaches.

Property was pretty clean. Much needed updates for kitchen counter cabinets. Pool needs some fixing but did Heat and was good for most of the stay, it was low on water when we got there and couldnt heat. Patio door VERY hard to open/close.

This house was perfect for our family of 4!

The house was clean and spacious, the kitchen had all of the essentials we needed, and the pool and patio area was great. It was nice having beach chairs and umbrellas to use too. The location of the house was great for us, lots of restaurants and stores nearby and only 15min from the beach. John was very quick with communication and very helpful, excellent host! We highly recommend this place!

Great location

John was very good at responding same day to all communications. Although the lanai cage was gone from the hurricane, the rest of the house was in good shape. Cupboard doors seem to be out of alignment but assumed it was from the storm that maybe shook the house just enough? Beds are firm. Great view of the canal. Neighbors are quiet.

2022-2023 Englewood Vacation

We stayed 35 nights at this wonderful home. John was a terrific host and was always available to us if we had questions. The home was 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which worked out great for our group. The swimming pool was heated to 85 degrees and the grandkids thoroughly enjoyed that. Englewood is a great place to vacation and enjoy.

Englewood Getaway

We stayed at John’s house for a week and everyone in our family thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The inside of the home was clean, tidy, and just how it was listed. There were all of the necessities needed for a long trip including kitchen accessories and beach items! We saw alligators every day in the canal/lake which was super cool. Beaches, restaurants, and stores were all within a 10 minute drive which was ideal. The outside of the home needs some tlc, but nothing major that affected our stay here. John was very responsive to any questions we had! We would absolutely stay again.

Excellent Family Home

Our travel baseball family felt right at home in this house. It’s location, accommodating size, cleanliness, and great backyard fishing made this stay an excellent experience for everyone. Can’t say enough about the owner and his communications with us. Felt like we had known him forever. The house is a perfect choice for travel baseball families and anyone who loves the area. Would highly recommend the house and the local beach. Excellent all around!!

Great Vacation Home

Clean house with all the amenities for a great beach vacation. House has four bedrooms, one with bunk beds that our boys thought were awesome! Three bathrooms, one with a door connecting to the pool deck - was an added bonus- so you don’t have to walk throughout the house to use the facilities! The decor is fantastic- with a beach theme. John as a host was fabulous, even taking the time to check that our expectations were being met. The house has everything you need to feel comfortable and at home, including a washer and dryer. The hosts are super gracious to allow you to use anything within the home- obviously with expectations that you care for their things! We spent most of our time at the beaches in the area- but were able to come home to relax, grill on the patio and watch our children swim. Such a pleasant and stress free stay- would recommend 10/10.

Perfect Family Vacation Spot!

We had the most relaxing and refreshing time at this property! Close to all of the beaches on Manasota Key - only 12 minutes from Englewood Beach. The house was great - very spacious! We really enjoyed the pool in the morning hours before we would head to the beach, and in the evening after the beach when it was dark out (January). The lanai was so nice with the lights all around it. We enjoyed sitting out there and looking at the canal/lake for wildlife. The sunrise coming up while looking out at the canal was also nice. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Always nice to have laundry on site, and this house has anything you could possibly need for a fun time away - pool stuff/beach stuff. We will definitely be back! Perfect vacation for our family with our 4 kids, ages 9-14. Thank you so much, John! Great host and great property!

A peaceful retreat

This house is in a quiet, modest neighborhood, within an easy drive of good restaurants, ice cream shops, bike trails, and beaches. The house interior is clean, comfortable, and simply but nicely decorated. The pool/lanai area is delightful, with a beautiful view. The exterior of the house still needs some upkeep. This would be a good house for all ages. The host is always accessible and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much!

We were visiting friends in Englewood and the location of this home was close to their home, shopping, and church. This was our first time renting a home and the entire process went very smoothly.
