Early 2000s - build clean property with good location - comparable to a Sheraton property which is good. All rooms have seaview. Service however was bare minimum.
I give an example - front desk ordered a cab the day before for 0800 pick up the next day for one of my guests. I called the front desk at 0755 and I asked them if the taxi arrived. They replied I DO NOT KNOW and were ready to hang up. I insisted that they walk to the door to look through the glass if the yellow cab had arrived, and that was met with much surprise and almost indignation.
Also we had electronic keys problems, and only later found out that we were given a room with a metal key even though the property knew they had electronic lock problems and had other rooms with e-key working.
A normal thing would be to fix the rooms with e-key problems first, and in the meantime offer fully-working rooms to guests until the problem is fixed. I might be pushing it a bit, but I do not think this is unreasonable
In a nutshell, if service improved it could actually be a lovely place. I honestly hope they fix the service as I sincerely enjoyed the location and I would go back
