Rosemary and Dan are the best!
This property is our favorite getaway. Rosemary and Dan provide everything needed to have a perfect vacation. The view is stunning, the home is cozy and the porch overlooking the Clark Fork river is beautiful. We spent our honeymoon here and the left us champagne and chocolates to celebrate!

Perfection by the river!
This house is lovely and immaculate. We loved our stay here. Anything you could possibly need is here. We don’t have little ones but if you do, it looks like you’re all set with equipment and games. There are so many thoughtful touches everywhere. I was particularly appreciative of the kitchen appliances. They are top notch. You can tell that the owners love this house. It is very well maintained and very well built. Communication with Rosemary was excellent. We would love to come back.

Piece of heaven!
We met up with our grandkids at this most amazing cabin right on the river and created memories for all of us that will last a lifetime! The kitchen was completely stocked for me to prepare every family meal. The cabin was complete with Bucky, the moose and comfortable beds for all six of us. We swam in the river, barbecued in the grill and in the evening, sat on the porch and watched the eagles soar by. We watched movies and played games that were all provided that made our time together so amazing. Thank you to Rebecca and Dan for sharing your piece of heaven with us these last four days!

Lovely, Peaceful Stay
The house is exactly as advertised - a lovely, quiet cabin directly on the Clark-Fork river. The cabin is well furnished and contains everything you need for a great stay. Bring a boat, canoe or kayak - with such a great river at your door, being able to explore it by boat would be ideal. The house is accessed by a 15 mile, beautiful drive along the west side of the river, which takes about 30 minutes from Plains. We made the hour drive to Thompson Falls for groceries - we found a better selection and lower prices than the Plains grocery store, plus a restaurant on the river and enjoyed seeing the falls and the surrounding area.

Wonderful stay to start our vacation
We love to take road trips as a family and this summer is our longest yet- our first VRBO stay was here and it was the perfect way to begin our adventure to the Northwest. The cabin was comfortable for our family of 4 but the best was the river right outside the back door. Our son loves to fish and he was able to catch and release some trout and was thrilled. We also went into town and ate lunch at the bakery and it was so good! Thanks Dan and Rosemary for allowing us to stay here and for mailing back the sweater I forgot!

Great property
We very much enjoyed our five day stay at this remote cabin. Plenty of linens, towels, bottled water, and basic supplies. Great communication with the hosts. New kitchen appliances worked great. Comfortable bed. Plenty of pillows. Internet service that we used for cell phone communication. And most of all an incredible location on the river with magnificent views of the mountains. We highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to get away from it all yet still have all the basic comforts of home.

Eleven Amazing Days
We spent 11 amazing nights at cabin. A wonderful refuge. Upon arriving we were greeted with wine and chocolates. Fresh eggs were provided along with fresh all necessary condiments and three cases of water. The property is as described. Beds were great and the open floor plan created a spacious feeling when indoors. Views of the surrounding area spectacular. We spent evenings on the spacious covered deck or in the yard which has many sitting areas. We witnessed bald eagles up close as the dove for fish on the river or perched in trees on the property. Bring binoculars. The Canadian geese gather on the river sandbars three time throughout the day. I loved hearing their sounds of arrival. The views incredible. Cabin sits steps away from Clark Fork River. Our Great Pyrenees( not a water dog) tested the waters and played on the sandbar. We did too! River was great for swimming or splashing around in warmer weather. This is the perfect home and setting for a quiet relaxing retreat. If you like to hike there are opportunities further away. There is a book at the cabin that describes many of the hikes and offerings in the area. Very helpful. I would recommend a visit the Bison Refuge which is about and hours drive. The cabin is about 30min. drive to the town of Plains for groceries etc. We chose to stay mostly at cabin and only made three of trips further afield. If you are looking for a place to get away to just relax and take in the natural world that surrounds the cabin it is definitely worth the trip. Riverside Getaway
We stayed in early August. The house was clean, tidy and well stocked (incl. butter and a dozen eggs). We enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking for wildlife. The house sits on a high bank above the river so its a little steep to get down to the river. I was on crutches so getting down the river wasn't possible for me but my wife and dog were able too. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The portal AC units were also welcomed.

Perfect Get-Away
This family cabin on the Clark Fork river was comfortable, tranquil and the perfect get away from work and the city. The home had plenty of room and was well stocked with amenities from kitchen/ pantry items down to accessories for the fur kids. The close proximity to fishing and hiking options was a definite bonus. Even sitting on the porch listening to the thunder storm did not dampen our weekend. We would highly recommend letting Rosemarie and Dan be your host for your next family vacation or couples weekend. They were quick to respond to all communication and made booking, checking and and out a breeze. We hope to return with family and friends in the future.

This place is spectacular. The perfect place for a family to get away and relax. All you need to bring is some clothes and food. Dan and Rosemary have everything there that you can think of. AMAZING experience! Definitely going back.
The hosts, the location, the cabin itself - loved it! This is exactly what my husband and I wanted. A super secluded cabin with an amazing view where our puppy was welcome as well. The hosts provided so much at the cabin and that was so helpful. We didn’t need to bring detergent and so many small food items. The nearest grocery store/gas station was about 30 minutes away. Wi-Fi connection was great for my work. The only recommendation I have for guests is to come early enough when there is still day light. We got to the house around 9pm and it was way too dark to see anything. A little hard to find the house once we turned into where the flags are. We loved it. Our puppy loved it even more. He was running around the house all day and out by the water. Definitely going back!!

The best family vacation ever, with a stunning view!

A Gem of a Riverfront Property
We really enjoyed our stay here-the property location and amenities were excellent. The owners had very thoughtfully outfitted the cabin with just about everything one could imagine needing to use, from flashlights to bottled water to parchment paper and spices in the kitchen. Lazy River
What a wonderful cabin. Loved having morning coffee on the porch watching the sun come up, and evenings were special listening to the bird and small animals. The cabin had everything you needed and more. We highly recommend. It's a great place to get away and take a break from ones busy life. Thank you for making our stay so special...

Slice of heaven on the river
We absolutely loved our stay! The photos definitely do not do justice to the beauty of the setting. You have a beautiful piece of the riverfront all to yourself, and it is perfect because it’s set back from the main part of the river. Our dogs swam all day and I’ve never seen them happier. My husband and I enjoyed the views from the deck and the grill was great. While we spent most of our time outside, the house was sparkling clean inside. We are already hoping to plan another trip. Thanks so much for having us!

Great Get-away for Solitude
This is a great location for quiet solitude on all levels. It comes with all the amenities needed, plus outside deck space, fire pit area, and water fun! It's the perfect place to unwind, disconnect, decompress, and really get away from it all.

Way off the beaten path!
My husband and I stayed here three nights and had a wonderful time. The cabin is spacious, comfortable, and clean. The place is well stocked with pantry items, kitchen utensils, coffee filters, dvds, linens-just about anything you’d ever need-It was amazing!
