The North Side is an old neighborhood full of Pittsburgh history, and now it's one of the fastest growing areas in the 'Burgh. With the revitalization of the North Shore, the whole area is quickly developing into a lively hub of activity. Friendly old locals, new hipsters, starving artists, young professionals, and more are now calling the diverse North Side home. The location is excellent, with lots of activities in a short walk - you're less than a mile walk from PNC Park and Heinz Field, with all of the bars & restaurants you could want in between. There are parks, museums, the National Aviary, breweries, and more, all with easy access to downtown. Our street in particular is a "historic homes" street, which feels like Mexican War Streets (or a Brooklyn / Boston street for those unfamiliar with Pittsburgh).
You can easily walk to most places, including downtown. If you're venturing to other areas of Pittsburgh, Uber / Lyft is super easy and affordable, or you can take scooters. Parking for up to two cars is free with our permit. By booking, Guest and all guests of Guest agree to be bound by our Terms & Conditions, found here: https://www.hostwisestays.com/bookingagreement. We encourage our guests to read these carefully. Key Ts & Cs (but not limited to) are listed below.
1. Smoking of any type, of any product, is not permitted in the Property. A minimum $1,000 fee will apply if smoking is detected inside. Smoking outside with all doors & windows closed is permitted, with all butts properly disposed of.
2. People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. The Host has not represented this unit as an event facility, therefore, additional guests are permitted only with prior notice. At no time may any of these visitors remain overnight or assume any guest privileges whatsoever.
3. The Host is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Host is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
4. Host allows children with the following stipulations: Guests are responsible for any and all necessary 'child proofing' and inspection of child-related amenities. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
5. There is no daily housekeeping service. While the house has been thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival and linens and bath towels are included, daily maid service is not included in the rate.
6. Pets are not permitted; any pet being "snuck" into the house will result in a minimum $300 cleaning fee. Service animals are welcome, but per ADA laws, they must never be left behind unattended. ESAs do not qualify as a Service animal and must be registered as a pet.
7. Cleaning fees are paid to assure Guest's arrival to a clean property, not to clean up post-checkout "messes." While we don't ask or expect Guests to clean prior to leaving, we do expect reasonable cleanliness standards followed - garbage thrown away, spills cleaned up, etc. Cleaning required due to excess messiness will result in additional costs, charged at a rate of $40/hour.
8. Guest understands that they are staying in a neighborhood. We expect Guests to respect our neighborhood and our neighbors' right to peaceful enjoyment of their homes. If Hosts receive a valid complaint from a neighbor, Guest will be notified. Failure to rectify the issue may result in cancellation of the stay.

Nice stay in a great unit. Conveniently located to all Northshore locations and easy walk to downtown. We walked to the marathon expo and starting line. Well equipped with plenty of room. Chad was a great host.

We were having work done on our house in the South Hills that required us to be out of our house for a time. This unit could not have been more perfect for our needs. The house is in immaculate condition. Beautiful hardwood floors, very well appointed kitchen, excellent views of the city, convenient to downtown and North Shore attractions. All of this at a very affordable price. We would highly recommend this unit to any friends coming into town and would stay here again in a heartbeat if needed. We give this 5 stars, two thumbs up, every accolade possible.

My wife and I traveled from Chicago and our daughter, son-in-law and grandson traveled from Phoenix to meet in our old hometown. We went to the Pitt and Steeler games. The house was very convenient for the stadiums and restaurants. It was also very easy to go to and from the airport and other areas of Pittsburgh.

We had the most wonderful 2 night stay in the city to watch a pirates game. The place is absolutely perfect. The decorations and colors are so very soothing I felt like each room belonged in a a magazine. The views of the city from the balcony are amazing for your morning or night coffee. Parking was easy and close. I felt so very comfortable here. The shower pressure was wonderful and all of the products were top notch. Communication was wonderful. I will be staying here again if we head to Pittsburgh for a future game.

Highly recommend staying here, especially if you are heading to Pirates or Steelers game.
I’ve stayed at a few VRBO’s where I was left saying “I wish they had this item”…..you will not be saying that with this place! They have everything you need in any situation and the attention to details is great!
As mentioned in a few other reviews, stairs are quite steep but that seems to be the norm in Pittsburgh and would not stop me from booking again!

The stairs between the 4 levels were treacherous. The main listing said there were 2 bathrooms but it was really only 1.5. The half bath was 3 flights of rickety stairs down and only had a microscopic sink. (If you read the fine print carefully it is noted that it was only 1.5 bathrooms.)
The immediate neighborhood was definitely in transition and did not feel safe to walk in after dark.
The place was clean and they did a good job with furnishings. Had no issue finding street parking.

3 sisters, one teen and 2 pre-teens. We were all impressed and delighted by the house. Every comfort is provided. Charming neighborhood close to anything you could need. Anytime we reached out with a question the response was extremely prompt. We would stay here again and recommend it highly.

My husband, three kids, and I stayed here for a weekend when we were visiting Pittsburgh for a concert at PNC park.
The property is well maintained, beautifully decorated, and accomodated us perfectly. This property is walking distance (10 min) to PNC park and same distance (and location) for a stop on the hop on and off big red tour bus. Walking distance (5 min) to a grocery store.
We did not have a car so I can't comment on parking.
I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Pittsburgh.

Great bedrooms, main bath was large and very plush. Overall it’s a great property. The only downsides were glass doors on the main bedroom and the fact that the large upstairs bedroom had no bathroom on the floor — the second 1/2 bath is in the basement which made things just a little less convenient for a group of four.

The place has been renovated nicely. The stairs going to the second and third floor are narrow and a bit steep due to it being and older building. Beautiful kitchen with nice view. The third floor has a sitting area with a great view of the Pittsburgh skyscrapers. Loved seeing the pyramid on the old Gulf building lit up with neon stripes to indicate weather conditions from our window!
