„In theory, it was a nice place to stay, with a very friendly welcome and a great breakfast. The cleanliness was also perfectly acceptable. Unfortunately, the rooms were kind of noisy, and the bathroom fixtures were either odd or not particularly functional. What surprised me most was the price. Even though it included the (as mentioned) great breakfast, €190 is really too much for this standard. It's a shame that we live in a time where mediocre things are getting more and more expensive.“

„My wife and I loved this place. It was very charming and the staff were great. The food was excellent as we had dinner and breakfast. We had the small plates for dinner because the restaurant was booked full but our small plate dishes were excellent. Quite frankly I would have the small plates for dinner rather than a full dinner. I would definitely go back to this place and recommend to friends traveling to Scotland“

„Wonderful old building, thoughtfully extended. Extremely comfortable bed. Lovely friendly staff and a great breakfast. The pinnacle was the complimentary whisky in the lounge! What is not to like?“
