Nice place - but in the middle of nowhere
The hotel has nice natural surroundings being located directly at a river front. However, there are just a few sights which can be done in one day. Thus a long stay does not make much sense since there is nothing like a beach etc.. In other words: the usual tourist stuff lacks. Consequently most of the hotel guests are part of convention groups.... Staff at reception and in the restaurant (good manager) are rather helpful. This is not true for housekeeping staff which is more or less on the lazy side, though room are rather clean.

Booked a suite room for my 1 night stay. Merely less than half an hour after check-in, I was stuck inside the room & unable to get out as the door latch was faulty. The metal piece was already crooked & wooden panel at the door was semi detached from door panel (the whole door was loose and couldn't close fully). 3 maintenance guys came, unable to solve the issue from outside so I had to help them to unscrew the latch from inside. Pretty sure the same thing happened to previous guest who had stayed in the same room. When I highlighted the issue to front desk, they claimed it had not happened before. How do you explain the crooked latch & loose wooden panel? The staff could've offered to change another room for me but they did not, and I had to wait for them to change to the new latch. As a result I was late for dinner appointment. This should not have happened from 1st place, what happen if there's fire?

Arrived at 4am and had the staff and security greeting us like royalty at the entrance. Love the rooms, we booked the interconnecting room and it was very big, clean.

Best hotel in Pekan!
It has been the only hotel that I stayed whenever I goes to Pekan. This is the only decent and comfortable hotel with reasonable price. It was Ramadan period that I went this time round so breakfast was served according to what is on the menu as there's not many guest. Cooking a little slow but food was ok, not much meaty stuff.

Big room and friendly staff
Great holiday for a leisure time. Big swimming pool, very big room, i've never got this really big room. Plenty of local food nearby Cons: smoking location to breakfast cafe is too near, i can smell the smoke during breakfast. Its really spoiled my mood, i got my child during breakfast so i really hate that situation.

Best choice in Pekan
Every year a group of us will stay in Pekan for at least 3 nights for our fishing trips. We always look forward to the comfortable and spacious room with well equipped facilities and huge bed to sleep on after our fishing activities! But due to unforseeable circumstances, we have to check out earlier and spoke to the hotel front assistance manager if we could refund our nights. Mr. Aziz has been very helpful to verify with hotel. com to apprpve the refund. We will definitely be coming back again to Ancasa! You will never find any other hotel better than this!

Nice view, good location
Easy to access, excellent view, good facilities, good food, spacious room, alot of parking lots. I would definitely choose this hotel on my next visit here and recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Some suggestions for improvement though..valet parking not available, bell boy not receptive. There's no stairs from parking to hotel lobby, the guest have to walk up quite long way to lobby entrance..tq
