Perfect location/ Enjoyed every minute
Lovely. Perfect weather, location, so many opportunities to walk to and also drive to that were close. Beds were very comfy. View is incredible. Kitchen is stocked with plates, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, bowls. No measuring tools - cups, measuring spoons, so if you need for cooking- bring your own. No cheese grater.... would have grated before hand if I would have known. Downstairs seemed a bit musty smelling and carpet felt slightly damp... BUT,,,, All in all it is a wonderful place to stay.

Thank you so much for bringing these issues to our attention. We’ve re-supplied the missing cookware (we wish you would have called our 24-hour line so we could have delivered it while you were here). We are investigating the dampness issue, which is due to the recent heavy rains.

Family Wedding Get-Away
My husband & I along with another couple stayed at this property for 4 nights. In town for a family wedding. The process of booking and getting in was easy with all the access codes. It is a beautiful area with wonderful views. Directly across from Lover’s Point. There was a lot of road construction/sidewalk being done which made it a little difficult to drive our rental (SUV) & difficult (but able) to maneuver into the covered parking spot. Must be able to do stairs to get in & then to bedrooms. Was very clean. Perfect for us!

Predatory Pricing and False Advertising by Monterey Bay Rentals
Property was priced appropriately for the area on the VRBO with a 12% hotel tax adder. Monterey Bay Rentals doubled the pricing, took my cc information from the VRBO website and sent me an invoice that showed "paid in full", not disclosing that their rental reservation fee was not the VRBO fee. VRBO then sent me and additional funds request after I received the fully paid invoice/receipt from MBR. I'm still waiting for MBR to refund the rental reservation fee that VRBO said they were to extend me and that they would reimburse the fee to VRBO. ALSO, THE WINDOW COVERINGS FOR THE LIVING AREAS ARE SEVERELY AGED AND ARE READY TO BREAK AT ANY MINUTE. THE PROPERTY HAS 1980s APPOINTMENTS AND THEY ARE NOT MAINTAINED. The property does NOT meet ADA standards and is high risk for usage by 80 year old's like myself. Only one full bath for 4 adults......property listed as two baths.

Property is in a wonderful location. Handy to everything we needed. It was clean, but there was a strong musty smell when we entered the condo. It did disappear eventually with the windows open. There were very few clothes hangers in the bedrooms & no plug for the kitchen sink. We only ate breakfast at the condo so didn’t use enough dishes to warrant using the dishwasher. We could also have used more direction on the garbage & recycling rules. We weren’t sure what items were recyclable & what containers to use in the garbage area. Kyle was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had & if we decide to return next year for the Monterey Jazz Festival, this property will be our first rental choice.

Perfect pacific grove
My husband and I had a fabulous time in Pacific Grove. It is a perfect little town located between Carmel and Monterey! There is a walking/biking trail just across the street. You can walk to the aquarium (a little over a mile, but flat and easy) or down the other way towards the lighthouse and gorgeous ocean views. Maybe a 10 minute drive to the entrance to the 17 mile drive (WORTH it!) you can swim at the beach at Lovers Point (if you can stand the cold water!) or relax in the park or on the small balcony at the condo. We had a perfect vacation here!

PCH roadtrip
We couldn’t imagine a better location or accommodations than Lovers Point #6. Great views from the condo right next to the coast, just across the street from the walking/biking trail and within a short walk to the Monterey Acquarium, Cannery Row and downtown Pacific Grove. Super comfortable lodging. Definitely would choose this property again if we are ever back this way again!

The condo was immaculately clean. The beds were comfortable with nice linens. The kitchen was well stocked with necessities. The furniture was comfy. The downstairs level was too cold at times and the stair steps outside were noisy for the bedroom just through the wall.

I wish you would have called our 24-hour maintenance line while you were here - there are portable heaters stored in the closets. We don't want our guests to be chilly!

Incredible view and great walkable location!
We just spent 5 nights here. Had amazing weather! Great location for ease of walking to tons of restaurants, coastal trail that goes for miles just at your doorstep. VERY clean property, well maintained. If you run cold, bedrooms are downstairs and upstairs is much warmer. Bring a space heater, otherwise, upstairs is too hot to enjoy if you heat bottom floor too much. Also, front bedroom faces a busy street since Lover's Point is a natural treasure...it pretty much quiets down at night, but if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Overall, a wonderful stay!

Lovers Point is beautiful
I was incredibly impressed with the condo’s proximity to the beach! This is an amazing location and perfect for a vacation in the Monterey area. We were 3 adults, and none of us were a couple, so sleeping arrangements are not good. I slept on the couch, quite uncomfortably, and allowed the other two to have their own bedroom. Had I been aware of this, I may have reconsidered, which ultimately was not an option as I became aware that the property did not allow cancellations… even 6 months in advance!! This is my mistake, so no blaming, but in spite of the discomfort I placed on myself, we loved the condo. The only other issue was a non working air conditioner. It was 80 degrees in the unit, but we didn’t spend enough time inside to complain about it.

We’re so sorry you had to sleep on the sofa! We go to great lengths to list the number and size of beds in each of our properties along with posting multiple photos of each room. We also include a 3D “walk-through” on our website so guests can familiarize themselves with every aspect of their rental in advance. We have a 60-day cancellation policy (with a 20% non-refundable down payment) but we would have gladly offered to move you to a property with three separate beds had we known. As far as air conditioning, it’s almost non-existent on the Monterey Peninsula as it is so rarely needed (our properties are supplied with pedestal fans to supplement the sea breezes). It sounds like your stay coincided with a rare, late summer heat wave (we hope you were able to enjoy the beach across the street!).

Amazing Property in a Spectacular Location!
Stayed here for a visit to Monterey with my wife and two teenage children. We looked into seaside hotels but realized that we could get this place for a similar amount of money but with a much nicer setup. We really loved having two separate bedrooms and a full kitchen, none of which we would’ve had in a hotel. The property manager did an outstanding job of communicating with us, and the instructions for check-in, check out, and the use of the place were all perfect. The location was absolutely superb. The listing is spot on - you could not have a place any closer to the ocean. The views from both the living room and the front bedroom were spectacular. We really enjoyed walking across the street to lovers point and took advantage of the park, the volleyball court, the small beach, and the running and biking trail. If you’re motivated to walk, you can take the trail along the ocean for a 1 mile walk to the aquarium, or about a 2.4 mile walk to the Wharf and Cannery Row. They also have bicycle rentals there at lovers point. The place itself was immaculate. It was clean and very well appointed with everything that we needed. There was a Safeway a little over a mile away, and a local market (with nice local produce and excellent meats ) much closer (about a 10 minute walk). There are several nice restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the place, including a very good “Mexicali” place, Thai food, Italian, etc. In addition to enjoying the relaxing views, we went on a whale watching cruise (highly recommended - we saw at least a dozen humpback whales during our visit in July), drove down to Big Sur (spectacular drive along the coast), and enjoyed the entertainment, shopping, and restaurants in downtown Monterey and at the wharf. Can’t say enough about our stay in Pacific Grove. It was the perfect spot - very close to everything and truly spectacular views, but a little bit less crowded and hectic than downtown Monterey itself. I would highly recommend renting this property - we certainly hope to return someday.

Wonderful Week in Pacific Grove
Perfect location with unobstructed view of Monterey Bay and Lovers Point. The condo was very comfortable and within a short walk of restaurants and downtown Pacific Grove. We had a couple minor issues upon arrival, but the property manager was very responsive and was able to have the problem that bothered us the most taken care of right away. After checkout, we provided a few suggestions and the property manager was receptive, thanking us for the feedback. We would stay at this condo again!

My stay at the condo was great. The condo was very clean and well furnished. The view was amazing. The only thing I would suggest is to get replacement slates for the verticals blinds in the living room and the front bedroom, as there are several missing from both sets of blinds. Also the screen door to the balcony needs to be fixed. Even with saying that I still had a wonderful stay.

Comfortable unit in superb location with 180 degree ocean views. Could be better equipped; kleenex, more blankets, stopper for sink. Small items that make a stay during COVID when some of us are staying in and eating in more often, just a bit more comfortable. We would definitely return.

Thank you for your review. We delivered a sink stopper and checked the blanket situation (extras were in the bedroom closet). Our housekeepers leave one box of Kleenex in each bathroom, but we enourage our guests to call our 24-hour line if any items are missing (and to alert us to any maintenance issues that need to be addressed).

The lovely ocean view was just as advertised; what was not advertised was that the rental unit was on the second floor of a three story building. Unfortunately the people renting in the unit above us made our stay quite uncomfortable. They engaged in an above and beyond pounding of the floor directly over our heads. Their floor pounding ranged from intermittent to ceaseless, but mercifully did stop in the early morning and late at night. A call to the rental office did not provide for any mitigation, but we really did not expect any. I have no doubt that we were just unlucky to have rented during the same time as the rude and inconsiderate people staying above us. Had this not been the case our stay would have been much better.
