Overall our stay was fine, but we had a few issues upon arrival, reached out to the owner, and never heard anything back except a generic welcome message. The master bedroom smelled like smoke even though there are "no smoking" signs everywhere. The kids were excited about the game room, but we couldn't find any pool cues or pucks for the air hockey table so the game room was useless during our stay. The place is in need of a good deep cleaning. Walls and baseboards are filthy and the master shower had someone else's hair on the wall.
A few things that can't be controlled by the owner, but we're frustrating is the resort water slide and lazy river are only open from 10:30-5:00 daily. We were there for Universal Studios which means during the day we were typically in the park and not at the rental to enjoy the amenities. We had hoped to take advantage of these things in the mornings or late at night after our park days. Also, as someone else mentioned, the line to get into the neighborhood was ridiculous the last night we were there. My husband waited an hour and a half to get in and my kids and I walked home. He finally arrived to the rental after 1AM and we were planning on leaving early the next morning to go home. Not a great way to finish out our vacation, but again, this is not something the owner has control over.
