The resort property itself is nice with multiple pools and plenty for the kids to do. The condo was large, with large bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry facilities in the condo, and a kitchen. The condo was dated and not as clean as I expected and the dishwasher did not work properly. The pictures do not reflect the condition of the condos at all. Overall it was way too expensive for what I received. There are similar condos near by for about a third of the cost.

The unit we had was clean and lovely. I felt like we were home. However, the occupants above us had been making alot of noise, heavy footsteps that we could hardly het a good sleep. Overall, the stay would have been perfect had it not been those issues upstairs above our unit.

Pools were nice. Lots of crying kids, however. Clientele were a bit rougher then we are used to. A two minute bit of pressure to attend a timeshare presentation, which I never saw mentioned before booking, never felt great when arriving. Front desk wouldn’t answer the telephone one night at 6pm looking for toilet paper. The room was dated, but was clean and roomy. The pillows were terrible, but the beds were ok. Water pressure was similar to a campground. A lot of walking and must cross a road to get to main pool, so be weary with small children. Parking was good. We felt safe on the property. Elevator took two minutes to go two floors, so we never used again, which was fine for us. Would come back again for the type of vacation we were on, where it wasn’t planned, and were gone most days. We had just asked friends for a motel, they recently stayed at, and this was available. We were looking to save a bit of money where we could, which ended up being the motel. The budget was $1000 a day by the time we paid for flight, motel, food, car rental, and Disney, etc. We would come back. I gave a list of exactly what we had experienced while there, but we enjoyed our stay, and you would also, if you can handle the things I mentioned.

Stayed in a 1 bedroom. The room was smelly when we arrived. Like a musty smell. It was dated but clean. Had a full kitchen with anything you might need for a basic meal and a washer/dryer combo. The living room was spacious and equipped with a pull out sofa. We were in building 5000. I had requested to be close to the pool and had a balcony view of the Crab pool. We really love the pools here as well as the Tiki bar that serves delicious bar food. The ONE really negative thing I will say is that there is not enough hot water in the condo. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and there isn't even enough hot water to fill it up. And if you aren't first to shower for the day, you will be showering in luke warm- cold water. It would become barely warm after about 6 minutes.

Our family decided to take a trip last minute, and I was able to book Calypso Cay. Honestly, I was amazed at how everything was so accommodating. Very clean, very comfortable and very affordable. Definitely a thumbs up!

This property was great for what we needed. It was clean, had many pools, and the kitchen was a bonus. However, our room wasn’t ready for 45 minutes after check-in time and when sending us to our villa the women didn’t even let us know our elevator was broken, we were on the 3rd floor. Jason in maintenance was fabulous and helped with all our bags. He saved the experience because of his kindness!

The room itself was nice. However, the floors and walls are super thin. So you could hear all the walking around above you. There was quite a bit of activity in the parking lots at night that tend to make us and a few other separate reservations uneasy. Check in was also a little rough as there was not great communication with the employees that work at the front desk.

Bed bugs. However the front desk service was exceptional. The young lady was very nice and gracious. Never heard a thing from management. Not even a stop to the room. 2nd time I’ve had an issue with poor or no communication from the manager. It will be a never until we go back.

Everything was great with the stay, property was nice. Room was cozy. Only issue i wasn’t pleased with was the way I had to get my car pass for parking. I was basically sent to the people who sell their time shares and I was not interested in it at all. I was just there for a larger place to stay with my family while in town for two nights , and it was as if they were pushing for us to attend a meeting during the day I had planned to spend with my family. That was the only issue really, other then that everything was wonderful.

I love Calypso Cay. I frequent this property all the time and have for several years. This time was not the same quality stay that I am used to. The bathroom in my unit was not clean, there were dirt splatters on the walls and hair all over. The tub looked dirty. The AC did not work it was an uncomfortable 78-80 both nights. The 2nd night we put in a complaint and was basically given the runaround. They did offer us a new room but it was late when they responded and the communication was not good. I will go back because I do love the property and the amenities but they need to do some updating and remodeling, and customer service is lacking in some areas.
