Cottage is the right term
Check in and out was easy. There is a small market about 5 mins away in Orick that has any basics you might need. We saw elk on the property most days. There is elk poop all over the property, but we didnât mind since we got to see the elk. The sauna has a hard time holding heat, as it has many gaps in the frame. The house smells like mildew after the first day (the cleaning products help cover it up for the first day). The queen bed is very comfortable (Iâve been told) but the king bed could be replaced. Linens were very clean and shower works perfectly. Itâs right off the freeway but we didnât hear any traffic while we were there. The home is in an RV park, not out in the woods. Thereâs access to prairie creek, which is absolutely beautiful, but make sure to put on deet. The home claims to hold up to 9 people, but I would say it holds 6 comfortably. The living room space is small, so sleeping on the pullout bed is right in the middle of access to kitchen or laundry. The circuit breakers break if you run the fireplace and the microwave at the same time.
