Oceanfront Carriage House Apt. w / spektakuläre Aussichten

Diese Kutschenwohnung befindet sich in einer sehr ruhigen Wohngegend von York Harbor. Es ist sehr komfortabel eingerichtet und verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett im Schlafzimmer und zwei Einzelbetten im Loft, die für jüngere, beweglichere Gäste geeignet sind. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet und hat auch eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner. Es gibt einen spektakulären Blick auf das Meer entweder vom Wohnzimmer oder von der geräumigen Terrasse.

Es ist nur wenige Schritte vom Wasser entfernt. Beobachten Sie den Sonnenaufgang über dem Horizont, der nur von der Silhouette des berühmten Boon Island Light, sieben Meilen vor der Küste, unterbrochen wird. Das Nubble Light befindet sich im Norden und sein blinkendes Leuchtfeuer fasziniert nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit. Wenn es neblig ist, können Sie die fernen Nebelhörner von bis zu drei Leuchttürmen hören. Roaring Rock, eine große Gletscherspalte, die ein donnerndes Geräusch macht, wenn die Meere aus nordöstlicher Richtung kommen, ist nur ein paar hundert Fuß entlang des felsigen Ufers entfernt und für diejenigen zugänglich, die flink zu Fuß unterwegs sind.

Ab Oktober 2012 können wir unseren neuen Tarifplan auf der Website nicht anpassen. Bitte beachten Sie, dass unsere Preise für die Saison 2013 wie folgt lauten (wenn Sie Fragen haben, schreiben Sie bitte):
Juli und August = 1.400 USD pro Woche
Juni und September = 1.150 USD pro Woche
Oktober bis Mai = 850 US-Dollar pro Woche (oder 175 US-Dollar pro Nacht bei mindestens 2 Nächten)

This place is paradise! Very clean and well-stocked with all the necessities. Host was charming and welcoming. Located in a quiet neighborhood, the carriage house is the absolute perfect get away! The views are magnificent! We could see two lighthouses from the porch. We watched sunrises, waves, wildlife, and sunsets. We also enjoyed the grove of trees where we enjoyed the breeze. The town has great little shops and restaurants. This was perfect!

Quiet retreat

This is a wonderful place to get away. The views are good. A storm came by but only made for choppy waves rather than worries of the ocean coming up to the house. I was chilled at entry only as they were trusting the heating system to come up to snuff quickly and it was just short of instantaneous! The blowers for the heating drowned out the sounds of the waves at times but was so reassuring too. The bed was very comfortable and firm. I ventured up to the loft for the view, but had no need to use it. The incredibly friendly and intelligent Airedale Pippa was very welcome. Thank you for a good getaway!

We had a great experience here. The view was wonderful, the apartment was clean and well stocked in the kitchen. Beautiful sunrises

We spent a wonderful six days at James and Jan’s carriage house apartment. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare some meals but there were many nice restaurants in the area. The York Harbor Inn is highly recommend and within walking distance of the apartment. Across from Inn is the Hartley Mason Reserve with walking trails and lovely views overlooking York Beach. Ogunquit and Kennebuckport are nearby with many stores and restaurants. The Marginal Way is a fun walk. Beaches galore in all the nearby towns. We most enjoyed just relaxing on the porch and taking in the views right outside the apartment. Nubble Lighthouse and Boone Lighthouse can be seen in the distance. Be sure to get up early to see the spectacular sunrises each morning and hear the crashing waves. The king bed was comfortable as well as the living room furniture. There is a loft area with twin beds. We did not use the loft, but it had a ocean view. The bathroom was small, but there was plenty of hot water. Lots of towels were provided. Thank for James and Jan for a wonderful time and being such accommodating hosts. We hope to return. Gail and Mark

Exceptional property

A wonderful place to stay in the York/Cape Neddick area! The view and the sound of the surf from the unit were a welcome relaxation. Everything that we could have needed was in the unit, even olive oil and cooking spray for cooking! This apt. is in a perfect, quiet location to enjoy the southern coast of Maine. Nice location with a spectacular view

The carriage house was comfortable, cozy and in a nice location with a spectacular view. The house is as described online. I would suggest taking your own toiletries and your own bed linens if you have an allergy to scented laundry products. Overall, it was a great place to stay and the owners were accommodating. The friendly little dog, pippa was so sweet and greeted us in the driveway everyday.

Fabulous view

We loved our stay at Jim and Jan’s. The view from the deck and living room was fantastic! We could see both the Nubble Light and Boon Island light. The sights and sounds of the gentle rolling waves was so soothing. The house was very clean, which is greatly appreciated. The beds and furniture were all very comfortable. The kitchen was great for preparing meals. We were able to keep the place cool with the fans provided (we also brought two of our own). Our hosts were kind and accommodating. We are very thankful for our fabulous stay. And we loved York Beach. My husband’s family has been coming here for four generations. It is a quaint family friendly town with lovely beaches.

Heaven on Earth

I had a wonderful vacation here. Jan brought me a bouquet of flowers when I arrived and Jim came right over when I had a question about the tv. The view is amazing and I spent many hours reading on the deck listening to the ocean. Everything was provided for, all you needed was your clothes and a toothbrush. return to my roots

after moving to the west coast 17 years ago it was wonderful for my family to experience all things New England that I grew up with. And we couldn’t have had a better experience and the location is spectacular! The View!

Our stay was spectacular and everything we could hope for! The property was accurate to the listing and the views were amazing. Even though it was foggy most of our stay, you were able to get glimpses of the Nubble Lighthouse. The beach is a 5 minute drive and you can explore York with everything within 20 minutes of the house. Although you were attached to the main house, we had plenty of privacy! We will definityly stay again!
