05-Sailing Suite at The Castle Inn

Summary:

Inspired by the many sailboats that traverse North Carolina and beyond. This standard suite is located on the second floor with views of Silver Lake where you can often see many sailboats mooring. It accommodates up to 2 guests with a queen bed and full bathroom. All suites offer high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs and premium linens. Enjoy the tranquility of our village location, with easy access to the beach, water sports, nature trails, and locally owned restaurants and various other attractions.



The Space:

The property offers several common areas, including: reception area, parlor with a sitting area, fireplace and pool table, large front porch (new in 2026), 2 screened in porches, library (2nd floor), roof top deck, premium vending machine for 24 hour snacks, water refill station (hot and cold), kitchen and dining room. The property also offers access to the inground pool, sauna, Silver Lake dock with deck and floating dock.



Guest Access:

You'll have access to your private suite, including the bedroom and full bathroom. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like air conditioning, heating, and wireless internet. Guests can also enjoy the communal pool, outdoor seating, and the path to the entrance lit at night. Additionally, you'll have access to the beach, water sports, and nearby attractions such as museums and shopping. Please note that parking is available on the premises.

Getting Around:

The Castle Inn is ideally situated in the heart of Ocracoke Village, offering easy access to all local attractions. Guests can easily explore the village on foot or by bicycle. Public transportation options are limited on Ocracoke Island, so walking or biking are the most convenient ways to get around. Free parking is available on the premises for guests arriving by car. The island is accessible by ferry from the mainland, with travel times varying depending on the departure point. The Ocracoke Express passenger ferry offers service from Hatteras, providing a quicker option for foot passengers and cyclists. For those arriving by air, the Ocracoke Island Airport (W95) is a small general aviation airport located on the island.



Other Things to Note:

Parking for 1 regular sized vehicle (per room) is in the shared parking lot adjacent connected to the property (Lot with pea gravel) Trailers, Boats and oversized vehicles should be parked in the NPS lot.
