The manager provided excellent recommendations for activities, including hiking, dining options, and a beach area for us and our dogs. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!“

„We loved our stay at the Red Cottage. The first thing I noticed walking in was the cleanliness of the house. The place was absolutely immaculate. We enjoyed many of the amenities available, such as the fire pit and hot tub. There were so many kitchen utensils and accessories available we didn’t need to bring a thing. My only complaint and it was nothing to do with the house so I hate to have to mention it, was the road in front. It is very hard to cross due to high amount of traffic, speed limit ...

„The inside of the house was very clean and very tastefully decorated. The view was out of this world! The one thing that we would like to note, is that prior guests left large dog poop on the balcony that was not cleaned up by the staff. In addition, there was a bag of dog poop left in front of the home. Everything else was excellent and we still appreciate it being dog-friendly.“

„We went to this cabin/house as a retreat just to relax and read. We got to do that! The house is as pictured but with a few cobwebs around and the windows are in desperate need of washing (so as not to obstruct the view). The big bedroom was a little cold compared to the rest of the house. The fireplace in the living room was a bonus as we like a "live" fire. Firewood was easy to obtain in the area. Overall, we my wife and I had a good, relaxing time. Would go back to this place again.“

„We enjoyed our stay at the Birdhouse Lodge. It was quiet, cozy and had a great view of nature. The road to get there was steep and bumpy but my Prius handled it (in June, no snow). The main bed was too soft, but without the foam topper it was just right for us. The listing is accurate except that there are now FOUR TVs and nice chairs around the firepit. „My 3 sisters and I really enjoyed this clean, spacious house, set back slightly from the lake. A short walk (with stairs) took us to the dock where we could sit by the shore or paddle around in a kayak and watch the sunset. Highly recommend Gathering House for your Deep Creek Lake experience.“
