Awesome Getaway
This cabin is great. From check in to check out everything was as stated and cabin was great. I would definitely stay here a again. Only a few miles from main entrance to New River Gorge, and Thurmond. Easy drive to all other parts of the National Park. We even got in a few State Parks and 1 Battlefield. And dog friendly was the icing on the cake.

Wonderful Cabin Near The New
The property and cabin are very well maintained and an awesome place to stay while we explored the gorge. Hosts were incredibly friendly and made the stay even better, highly recommended to anyone visiting the area

This was one of the best places I have stayed! It was quiet. It was peaceful. Perfect place to disconnect and just be. I did not turn on the tv at all. as an added bonus, I saw a shooting star. Book this cozy cabin and you will not regret it.

Wonderful WV Cabin Stay
I was on a little adventure to WV to explore New River Gorge National Park with my dog (to celebrate her birthday!). I would 100% stay at Tiffany's cabin in the future. It was charming and comfortable and had everything needed for a cozy stay. I was there over Thanksgiving weekend and the heaters worked great. In fact, I really enjoyed snuggling up in the living room watching Netflix with dinner after full days outside (I don't often get to watch TV with my workload). The history of the property is really interesting and adds to the fun of staying there. The cabin is very close to town and all points in the New River Gorge area, which is awesome, especially if you love outdoors activities. My dog and I hiked all over the place. I really want to come back in spring or fall, as it would be even more beautiful. Tiffany is very responsive and thoughtful. The cabin is very clean and I felt safe in the area. I highly recommend and Meli gives it 2 paws up!

Historic cabin near New River Gorge
We enjoyed our stay in this historic cabin: quiet, peaceful and serene. The stone building on the property was also very interesting. It was convenient being close to the places we wanted to visit: various parts of the New River Gorge, Babcock, Fayetteville, and Hawk’s Nest. We had a lovely visit!

Anniversary get away
We celebrated our wedding anniversary and the cabin was adorable. Had everything we needed. Close to New River Gorge for easy commute and easy to get back to the dog to let her out, then go out to dinner.

Perfect location - historic cabin
We had a great time visiting New River Gorge and other nearby sights. The cabin had everything we needed except salt. We had cozy, quiet comfortable nights to recharge for more hiking and adventure. High points- riding my bike from the cabin to the Canyon Rim Visitor Center over “The Bridge” and watching my dog interact with one of the resident turkeys.

Such a cool place to stay!!
We loved staying here. Even if we didn’t spend too much time there since we were exploring the park and surrounding towns it was centrally located to interest points north and south in New River Gorge National park and 8 minutes away from ACE adventure park. Yes the floor is a little sloped but ITS A BEAUTIFUL 1800s cabin! It’s not cheap or easy to level them out and didn’t take away at all from the experience. It was spotless, cozy, and just right for the trip we were hoping for. Thanks Tiffany for being such a great host

Great rustic yet modern stay!
Overall, I had a great stay at this property. The cabin is rustic yet has had some nice updates. The property is beautiful. It's in a nice quiet location and not that far from businesses and attractions. Definitely appreciate it being dog friendly, too! It was a great launching point for adventures in the New River Gorge and only minutes from the Spartan race venue. I can also appreciate the history of the property. There are only a few things I would improve upon that were not game changers, but things to note. The shower and bed are not tall person (I'm 6'5") friendly and the bed could definitely stand to be upgraded (seemed older and VERY firm). Bathroom lighting could be better with a vanity light. The driveway was also not the easiest to get out of, as the drive is narrow and there was a trailer/equipment stored in the way. Having a truck made it that much more difficult. All that being said, overall, me and my dog had a great stay and would stay here again! It's a great home base to explore all the area has to offer.

Preserving History!
Humble and cozy restored cabin, sits adjacent to another structure, fascinating in is own right! The story is printed and can be read once inside the cabin. Clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities. Quiet location & easily accessible. The owners were friendly and very accommodating! Great location for anyone traveling to New River Gorge National Park, Hawks Nest and Babcock State Parks!! WV is an awesome see!! 💙💛

Perfect Stay for Scout Jamboree
The cabin was a perfect spot while we were working at the National Jamboree. Loved the history and quiet of the cabin. We saw deer almost every evening in the field nibbling grass. Tiffany was a great host and super easy to communicate with. Will definitely book this cabin again if it's available on our next trip.

We were looking for a cabin that allowed pets. The cabin in Oak Hill allowed pets, had good reviews and had many nearby attractions to visit. Visited the Greenbrier Resort and highly recommend taking the Bunker Tour if you visit the Resort. Visited Lewisburg's eateries and shops then stopped by Daniels Winery to sample local wines. Highly recommend staying at this cabin. The host provides a copy of a 1955 local newspaper article which gives the history of the cabin and surrounding grounds.

Not what we expected
The cabin is on a dead end of the street which is nice. It was mostly clean (dead bugs on window sills, mold around shower drain) but needs some TLC. It is an old cabin, but the floors slant badly. The grounds around it need cleaning up. The worst parts were the bright outside light on a shed that shone into the bedroom window all night making it hard to sleep & the sofa stank as if vape juice was spilled on it. It was dirty as well. The location is great for visiting the parks.

I'm so sorry the cabin was not what you expected. It was built in 1886, the floors are definitely not flat as a new cabin would be. I am truly sorry about the windows, shower, and sofa. We will address those issues. As for the grounds around the cabin, we have had some really bad storms lately and several trees were in danger of falling on the cabin so we had to have them cut down. We are working on getting those cleaned up it has just been a challenge with all the rain. I am glad you enjoyed your time at the parks.

Lovely cabin very close to the northern side of the New River Gorge National Park! It’s about 15 minutes from the Bridge/Canyon Rim Visitor Center and 40 minutes from the Sandstone Visitor Center. I loved that it was pet friendly, and that it was in the back of a neighborhood so we were looking at trees and not someone’s house. Nice sized bedroom, living room, and kitchen. Cute fire pit with chairs as well! Definitely would stay here again! About 24 mins to Beckley for more dining options.

Relaxing Stay
We had a great stay at the property. It was just right for the 2 of us. We enjoyed learning about the history of the cabin and the property. It was close to the park entrance and convenient to a winery and the exhibition coal mine in Beckley. The owners were very nice and filled us in on the history as well. Would definitely stay again!

It was lovely place
We usually camp, so it was nice having a warm nice place to come back to after our hikes. Our pup was very happy with all the green space to walk around. We found that all of the amenities were nice. The kitchen and bathroom were nice and new.

Rustic Cabin with Mice as Guests
The property was on the outside as described..but the inside was made to look so much better in photos. First we only had 1 roll of toilet paper. The caretaker kindly gave us more the next day. The bedroom lamp had been switched with a living room one that the lampshade was torn up and at first didn’t work till my husband fixed the socket. Let caretaker know. But the last and most upsetting thing was our overnight visitors. We awoke to mouse droppings on all of our counters. Caretaker came and disinfected the counters and put out a sticky mousetrap. We however bought 4 old fashioned mousetraps and some peanut butter. That evening we caught 3 mice and disposed of them. I let caretaker know of our purchase and our catch. At this point we are getting irritated…no offer to reimburse for traps etc.. or even a discount for everything we are going through. The furniture was extremely old and uncomfortable also. In close I will not be returning nor recommend this rental.

Great getaway!
Overall was a nice stay. Accommodations were generally very good but a few inexpensive amenities would have made it a little nicer like additional kitchen utensils like measuring spoons and cups etc. Also better instructions on using the tv, area places to eat, hike, shop etc would be nice.
