Take a deep breath and unwind in the majestic Mountain Spirit Retreat—a 12-acre oasis of total peace and tranquility in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas, located just 25 miles from Yosemite National Park and nine miles from the Jesse Ross Cabin. This unique home is full of space for creativity, relaxation, meditation, and exploration. This retreat offers an abundantly stocked kitchen, dining room, large living area with an open fire and wood-burning stove, an office with a stocked library, and a beautiful sunroom. The main bedroom is located on the ground floor with direct access to the sunroom. It has a beautiful en-suite bathroom with a shower and spacious jetted tub beneath breathtaking mountain views. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and one full bathroom as well as a cozy sitting area with a couch. The sunroom leads onto a wonderful outdoor space with two large decks offering vast mountain views. The upper deck has a lounge set where you can dine outside or sit and star gaze under the heavenly night skies –feel free to use the telescope for this! The large lower deck houses two egg chairs, hammocks, and ample space for yoga, meditation, or other activities. Beyond the decks are vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and a large playground with a trampoline and swings. This is a haven for kids and adults!
It's a 10-minute walk to the sacred Whiskey Falls, a waterfall that cascades down large granite rock for miles and miles with limitless views and epic swimming holes. This is one of the main attractions for locals. There are also several nearby trails for hiking and bike riding. The home is at 3400 feet in elevation and receives the best of all 4 seasons. Coming with your family? Find something for all ages. Next to the playground nestled into the forest, is a large sandbox with toys as well as 2 swings hanging from the trees. The house is stocked with play areas with books, toys and crafts for any child to get lost in for hours. The glorious Yosemite National Park is only a short drive away. Bass Lake is a twenty-minute drive and has restaurants and many swimming/boating adventures.
If you are in need of some healing, movement or just some self-care; take advantage of our licensed acupuncturists who can offer treatments tailored to your personal goals and needs. She specializes in yoga, acupuncture, massage, nutrition, and meditation. Services are available for an additional fee – please enquire with the hosts or consult the business cards you will find in the hallway.

There is a friendly neighborhood cat that sometimes comes by the house.
For little guests, a highchair is provided.
Guests can enjoy a trampoline and private children's playground in the home's backyard.
A Double-size futon is provided.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.
Security camera details: This home has a ring camera, located next to the front door.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
