I am so glad that you enjoyed the cottage. Early June is a very exciting time for us in the Northeast after being inside all winter. Everyone comes out and enjoys the lake with enthusiasm. Once the newness dies down, it gets quieter again, but as long as there are children on the beach we can hear the joyful noises of their playing. Luckily the lake is stocked and there are plenty of fish for everyone. Even if you don’t catch anything (which is doubtful), having the opportunity to float around and just bask in the beauty of being nestled among the Berkshire hills is a treat.

Hi Brigid, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I am so glad that you enjoyed all of the amenities including the variety of boats, games, ping pong table, beach toys, game table and darts. We are working on connecting to the municipal waste system, which would allow us to provide a washer and dryer, but it has been difficult to find a contractor due to labor shortages and we also need some major construction to provide an adequate space for it. We have several very nice laundries within a few miles of the lake house and we have a small clothes line to dry bathing suits and towels on. We are committed to providing a beautiful, clean and family friendly property that is a viable option for all of the guests that have made lasting memories at Windsor Cottage and we hope that your family will come back to visit in the future!

We are very glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Windsor Cottage. I love hearing the joyful playing of children across the lake too! At this time, we do not have onsite laundry facilities, so having people bring their own sheets and towels has worked quite well. We totally understand your preference for provided sheets and towels and now that we are going to be hooking up to the municipal waste system we will consider a change to offering sheets and towels because we appreciate having those at our accommodations as well.

Luckily, with two large windows in each bedroom, ample fans and the cool nights in the Berkshires we haven't felt the need for A/C, but it is not something that we have ruled out completely and will consider it in the future.
