„This were lovely rooms (we booked two, as there was a group of four of us) and they were identical, except one had a shower, the other a bath. They were spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfy. Staff were very helpful, it is worth noting they don't serve food on Sundays but we were guided to a local pub within five minutes walk as an alternative. “

„Very nice room. Comfy bed. TV reception not great but weather was poor so could be the reason. Room was cold but on searching found a heater in the wardrobe. Lovely staff and great food in the evening. Good breakfast and they accommodated us for an early breakfast as we had a 6 hour drive home and wanted to leave early. “

„Ein historischer Pub in der Pampa mit sehr gutem Essen. Die Zimmer sind in einem extra Pavillon hinter dem Pub Gebäude untergebracht. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es ausreichend. Die Zimmer waren recht neu und sehr sauber. Wahrscheinlich lieben die Engländer kleine Zimmer, doch wir empfanden dieses als etwas arg klein. Für eine Nacht ist die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.“

„Had a wonderful stay at a wonderful pub. Location is perfect and character of the pub is amazing. Lovely locally brewed beer and great food. Bad timing on our part that the brewery was closed so couldn't do the tour but gives u great excuse to go back. “

The inn is perched up right on the edge of the moors with some stunning views.
It is a 2 min walk down the hill to the beautiful hamlet or up the very steep hill to the ruins of the old iron ore furnaces.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic we would book again.

Was on the cold side with the weather but the heater in the pod was amazeing at keeping you toastie. The only down fall for me was the magpie that seemd to haunt me whilst there hahaha. Really funny. The cafe food is excellent good price. Absolutely love this place.“
