Wonderful flat in the old city center
We liked the week in the apartment. It is right in the old city centre and an ideal place to enjoy the close shops and restaurants, the short way to the beach and visiting the attractions of Nice. The flat itself has everything you need and is nicely equipped.

very nice and convenient place
Everything was as described and we were very happy with the apartment. The only thing to be aware of is that there are tiny restaurants in the tiny streets right outside the apartment. The sound echos off all the hard surfaces. The host does provide earplugs. The host can't do anything else about the sound. The 2 street facing bedrooms have only sheer curtains. You would need a sleep mask if street lights and early sun light bother your sleep. Thicker curtains would solve this issue. Very clean with everything we needed and site manager was very responsive. We would stay there again.

There were six adults staying. We enjoyed the kitchen and living space. With one bathroom it was just okay. Ease of access to everything the Nice offers. The only real concern was the noise level which is out of the owner’s control. There is a bar across the alley and the recycling center in the attached building next door. Not only did the bar dump their bottles but other restaurants as well. This happened most of the night. Also, pick up for the garbage and recycling was at 6:00 every day. So if you’re a light sleeper you might want to pass or wear earplugs.

Enjoyed the location of the property, super easy to get everywhere. Great restaurants, easy take away and cook at home options. Apartment had a ton of space, was outfitted well. We found the noise outside interrupted our sleep, people talking or using the trash bins. The trash truck that comes early in the morning is really loud, but it’s brief. We had no trouble getting back to sleep after the trucks. Beds were comfortable and shower was great. We appreciated the beach towels, since our daughter swam each morning. Shower towels could be updated.

Wonderful stay in Old Nice
We had a great stay at Gillian’s apartment in Nice. Gillian and her local contact Valerie were great as we prepared for our trip, providing great information and answering our questions quickly. They kindly allowed us to drop,our bags in the apartment before the agreed check-in time, so that we begin exploring Nice. The apartment is conveniently located in the middle of “Old Nice” with its charming winding alleys. It is just a few steps from the tram station, the public market, the beach, and more bars and restaurants than I can count. The apartment is clean and well-decorated and Valerie gave us a great orientation. As others have noted, the morning trash truck serves as an effective wake up call at 7:00, but it was really was not a big deal for us.

Super Apartment at perfect place
Very nice apartment right in the middle of Vieux-Nice; no high and heavy stairs, just easy on the first floor.. Large en well equipped. Lots of bars en restaurants on a very close distance. For us the right place! Quiet situated at night; only early in the morning (05.30) noisy collecting garbage, but that is normal in vieux-nice, if you don't like that, don't come to old Nice.... We had a lovely stay for 4 nights with our 3 sons. Very easy and pleasant contact with the property-manager!

Great Stay in Nice
Great location right in the Old Town with tons of restaurants just outside the door and a short walk to the beach. Easy Tram 2 ride from the airport and Tram 1 to the Nice Train station. Accessing Menton, Monte Carlo, Eze, Cannes, etc. by train was quick and easy with tickets booked online. Met Valerie early (1:30pm) to leave bags pre-check in time while apartment was being services and was able to enjoy the afternoon in Nice. Couple of quirky items didn't impact our stay at all (wasn't obvious how to open the apartment door but was easy once explained, washer only accessible through little window on the door). Large apartment with great space, couch and beds are comfortable. The early morning (5:30-7am) noise from the garbage pickup just outside the living room window discussed in other reviews is legit, but the earplugs provided were a help. Would rent here again if coming back to the Nice area.

For a family of 5 I can highly recommend this apartment. It has everything needed for a stay. Plenty of restaurants/cafes a market & a short walk to the beach. Even the tram is just a few mins away. Dealing with Gillian & Valerie was was a pleasure.

Great stay in the heart of old Nice
The apartment is very large and is in a great area - old Nice is a maze of cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops. The beds are super comfortable and each room has its own AC for heat/cold air. The kitchen is well appointed and the bathroom is a good size. My only small complaint is the garbage pickup out front in the early morning is very loud. Would stay there again for sure.

The apartment was exactly as described in the listing. The building is located on a small side street in Old Nice and is convenient to shops and excellent restaurants. Parking is close by. Valerie, the owner's agent, met us at the apartment, showed us around and explained everything that we needed to know. Recommend highly.

Lots of space in a fantastic location
Our whole family had a wonderful time in Nice thanks to the Loves' beautiful apartment. The view is so charming and you cannot beat the location in terms of proximity to all the great sights in the Old City. Take a less-than-20 minute walk up to the Chateau or to the beach or Garibaldi Square. As long as you're comfortable with the bustle and hubbub that comes with being right downtown, you'll love this apartment too. (For the lightest sleepers, there is an interior bedroom that our infant son had no troubles napping in.)

Appartement bien équipé et confort sauf que l’annonce ne précise pas que celui ci est juste au dessus du local poubelle regroupant les restos du quartier. Le bruit du ramasssage des bouteilles a 6h 30 du matin est INSUPPORTABLE.et le ramassage des poubelles dure presque une heure et après le Karcher !!!! Il serait bon de le signaler ! Ceci ne concerne pas tout le vieux Nice………

Very spacious apartment and we LOVE the location and proximity to the Old City. Our favorite Nice neighborhood. Food, drinks, restaurants, shops within steps of the flat. We were there for two weeks and we made new discoveries steps away up until our last day. Highly recommended and looking forward to our next visit. Also, we got engaged on the Promenade des Anglais, at the point near the #Ilovenice installation. A wonderful trip with lifetime memories. Thank you Mike and Gillian and especially Valerie!

Really good early season stay. Apartment is very large and well fitted. Beds were comfy and check in was great good. As noted the central location means there is street noise in the front two bedrooms. This was annoying one night followed by bin collection at 5am. Worth knowing if you're a light sleeper. Back room is very quiet. Overall the apartment is really good value

Love Nice!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The apartment is VERY spacious and comfortable. The photos very accurately describe the property. The apartment is very well situated in Old Town, very easy access to restaurants, public transportation and area attractions. The property manager was very helpful as well. There is some “street noise” however we slept in the back bedroom which was QUIET and DARK. Comfortable bed and bedding, all needed equipment in the kitchen. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The only thing good is it is spacious. There’s not enough hot water for 3 people and the rest will have to wait for another half to an hour. What is terrible is the noise outside in the middle of the night!!!! Drunk people would argue and scream in the wee hours! And then the garbage collection in the early morning! One would have to be a really heavy sleeper to not be awaken. The ear plugs they provided didn’t help much.

Although unprepossessing from the outside and the entrance stairs, the apartment is excellent in terms of rooms, facilities and equipment. Its location is also excellent - convenient for the main attractions of Nice. Air conditioning is an added bonus! Overall, we would be very happy to stay there again.

Very well appointed and comfortable apartment right in the centre of the Old Town
I have just returned from a weekend in Michael's Saint Vincent apartment with four close university friends to mark 25 years of friendship and a forthcoming wedding. The apartment was located right in the middle of the Old Town, seconds from great restaurants and less than 5 minutes from the beach. The apartment is a great size with three double bedrooms, a good size bathroom and a huge living/dining/kitchen area. The TV has UK channels as well as movie and sports channels should you need them. The kitchen, although we didn't really use it, was very well appointed and even had a Nespresso machine so bring some capsules. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Michael's Rental Manager Valerie was very helpful and accommodating around our request for an early check in and late check out due to our flight times, and even offered to help us source source secure luggage storage for longer if necessary. She also gave us some great local tips for bars and restaurants which were spot on. I would highly recommend the apartment for either a group of friends or a family as it sleeps 6 very comfortably. I would like to bring my family back for a long weekend at some time and would definitely try and stay in the apartment again.

Great Location, Very Spacious & Lovely Apartment
My husband, 18 year old daughter and I were traveling in France and stayed in this apartment in Nice for 3 days/2 nights. It was in a great location, was very spacious, and was well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this apartment.

U appartement bien situé et un bel espace de vie
L'accès est facile même si pour les bagages il faut faire plusieurs aller et retour du parking proche, très bel espace intérieur avec un Magnifique salon et décoration très sympa. Un peu bruyant mais on est en Ville. Véritable inconvénient quand on est a 6 et en séminaire, une seule douche avec les toilettes à l intérieur ... Plus adapté à des gens en vacances

Hi, thanks for the review and yes the Old Town is a vibrant and sometimes noisy place but at least we are nicely situated from the main drags. All this is mentioned on the Trip Advisor reviews of the Old Town. As for there only one bathroom you were fully aware of this as it is clearly mentioned on my website. Your 2 day visit worked out at 19 euros per person per night, a bargain I would have thought. Sorry but i dont like comments about only being one bathroom when it is clearly mentioned on the web page. If it had not been mentioned then yes , you would have had a point.

Big, clean, comfortable apartment in Vieux Nice!
Thank you Mike for sharing your Nice apartment with us! The apartment is clean, spacious and very comfortable to relax in after a day of exploring Nice and the surrounding cities. The apartment is located near many restaurants, grocery, and patisseries. We had an especially wonderful dinner at the restaurant Hangout which is right outside the front door. The apartment states it is on the first floor, which in the United States is considered the second floor--so you do need to carry your luggage up a flight of steps--something to consider for those with mobility problems. Val met us at the apartment and gave us a nice tour with instructions on how to use the appliances. Thank you, Val, for making a special trip for the Nespresso capsules--it was appreciated! Both Mike and Val were easy to work with from easy of booking to providing details to us regarding the apartment and check-in process. Val did warn us that the garbage is collected daily at 6 am on the master bedroom and twin bedroom side of the apartment, so if you are a light sleeper and can't go back to sleep easily, this is not the place for you--this did not bother our stay in the least. We would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return to Nice someday.
