I loved the location of the property. Unfortunately, the property itself fell short of my expectations. Upon check in, we toured our room and found dirty USED towels in the bathroom and shower. Also, some of the towels hanging were so stained that I was questioning if they were even washed too. And the sink looked dirty. Seems like they “renovated” an old, run down hotel and just slapped some paint on it and put in new furniture. Would not suggest this property to anyone.

Enjoyed my stay at Sonder. Great location, was able to walk to the beach and a nearby coffee shop. Short drives to the city. Parking was a bit tight. Employees were all very nice and welcoming. The lighting in the rooms are not so great, but overall had a good time for my short stay.

Hotel was nice but there are no housekeepers and limited supplies. There is a closet where you can get supplies however it was very empty.

Loved it! I like that you don't need a keycard and can use your phone. Convenient parking. Coffee, ice and filtered water. Pool very clean. One block from beach. Noisy if roim is in front of property but they have ear plugs and a noise machine in room. Coffee and fridge in room. Very clean. Very safe! Would stay again!!

I loved the convenience of checking in and out at Sonder Newport Beach. Staff was friendly. My only issue was parking because it’s limited, so if you get in later you may have to park off-site. Thank you for the cleanliness and comfy beds.

Great no frills hotel. Friendly staff. Cheap but if you want room cleaning it costs extra. Great restaurants and a coffee shop near by. Beach across the street!

So close to the beach. Walked over in less than 6 minutes. Safe area. Thin walls & I heard my neighbor snoring through the wall the first night. Other than that no complaints. I’m between Newport & Huntington piers. Not walkable to either but easily accessible w a $9 Uber. White noise machine, coffee maker, fridge & tevo in the room. Many walkable restaurants & coffee shops.building has many convenient exits and an easy place for Ubers to pick you up or drop you. Good value for proximity to the beach.

I did like the white clean sheets on the bed but that was about it, all the rest does not look like a hotel . Dust everywhere , limited furniture. My room looked more like somebody moved and had not too much money too spend on furniture or time to clean. No closet , no safe not even a slow closing toilet seat and speaking of toilet all the towels are sitting right above it. Disappointing and definitely overpriced.

Just ok. Elevator dangerous. Love the location.
Elevator lights were out. Stubbed my toe coming out of elevator because it doesn’t stop on 3rd floor level to floor. No lights so couldn’t see. Very dangerous. Toilet paper holder needs to be repaired. Location is great.

No basic cable or at least we couldn't figure it out. The receptionist was a joke. Didn't even look up when I asked a question. Answers were one word answer. Not helpful at all. Although the room was clean enough, the duvet had huge lumps all over it. I originally thought maybe somebody was under the covers or they left all their laundry under the sheets. I tried calling the front desk to see if we could get a different room but there was no way to get in touch with the front desk. My call was rerouted to a call center somewhere outside the USA. They told me I could move to another room for an additional fee. I politely told her no thank you but that we would not ge staying here again (which is a bummer because we stayed there before it changed hands and it was amazing). I really think it's an Airbnb now instead of a hotel because they don't even have a key to let you into your room. They send you a code for the keypad only. I would not recommend.

My son was there and lost his ID but had paperwork so they were so gracious to give him a room and he lost his phone and the staff members were so wonderful to let him use his phone to try to contact me to get him another phone. He had a great time and had nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff. Thanks guys keep it up.

The property is as great location convenient to with Newport area or Huntington beach area. Had dinner at Baja Sharkeez good ambient. The rooms very nice and clean. No noise at night or day. Had a window facing the ocean. Coffee was available at the lobby and in rooms as well as a mini fridge. Very very pleased will definitely be back.

Super close to beach but no staff for Emergencies
Cute boutique hotel only a block away from the beach. Unfortunately my experience was ruined by guest disturbance right above my room which lasted until 3am. I honestly thought the woman was going to jump off the balcony as upset as she was yelling at her companion. This is a new breed of boutique hotels w no staff on site or help past a certain hour of the evening and I didn't see or hear any security no phone number to call for assistance in case of an emergency. My entire communication when that disturbance took place was via chat.
