Sehr sauberes, Kofort-Hotel mit gutem Service
Wir waren 4 Tage im Surrey. Das Servicepersonal war ausnahmslos sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Das Zimmer (wir waren in der 16. Etage) war sehr sauber und das Bett gemütlich und groß und mit ordentlicher Matratze ausgestattet. Im 17. Stock gibt es eine tolle Dachterrasse wo man noch einen Cocktail trinken kann - bei sagenhaftem Ausblick. Das Restaurant des Hotels hat eine hervorragende Küche! Hat man auch daran gemerkt, dass viele Nicht-Hotel-Gäste abends zum Essen kamen. Die Preise auf der Speisekarte sollte man allerdings ignorieren, sonst verliert man den Appetit. Das ist empfiehlt sich aber generell für New York und ist nichts Hotelspezifisches. Einige Gäste waren mit Hund da. Sogar das Gassigehen mit dem Vierbeiner im naheliegenden Central Park wurde auf Wunsch vom Hotelpersonal übernommen.

Luxuriöses Hotel in der Upper East Side
Wir waren 5 Nächte in diesem luxuriösen Hotel im Nord-Osten Manhattans. Das Zimmer war hell, freundlich, hervorragend ausgestattet und sehr sehr stilvoll. Der Service war sehr höflich und zuvorkommend, trotzdem angenehm zurückhaltend. Die Lage war absolut perfekt, zum Einen direkt am Central Park (perfekt zum spazieren oder Joggen), des Weiteren zwischen den beiden Top-Adressen 5th Avenue und Madison Avenue. Wer will, kann hier bei den großen Designern gleich um die Ecke ein ganzes Vermögen ausgeben. Das Frühstück ist von hoher Qualität, hat aber auch seinen Preis. Wer will, kann auch 2-3 Straßen weiter in einem Diner ganz USA-typisch und günstiger frühstücken. Wir haben beides gemacht. Zur nächsten Metro sind es 3 Blocks, also ca. 10min. zu Fuß. Wenn wir wieder nach NYC kommen, werden wir sicher wieder hier nächtigen!

Hotel in absolut guter Lage
Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen in einer Seitenstraße zwischen der 5th Avenue und der Madison Avenue. Zur Museumsmeile sind es ca 10 Min. zu Fuß. Die nächste U- Bahn, 77th Street, ebenfalls in 10 Min zu erreichen. Die Rooftopterrasse ist einmalig. Das Personal sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit, zu jeder Zeit. Die Betten sehr bequem und das Zimmer sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr gut und nicht teurer, als in umliegenden Cafés . Dieses Hotel würde ich immer wieder gerne buchen.

Die Lage zum Centralpark und zur upper Eastside ist sehr gut. Ein freundliches Team und die für Manhatten ruhige Lage komplettieren den sehr guten Aufenthalt..

Hotel in guter Lage mit gutem Service
Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig nicht weit entfernt vom Central Park und einer Subway Station. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und beflissen. Allerdings waren wir zunächst in einem Zimmer (Nr. 411, 4. Stock) untergebracht. Von dort war ununterbrochen das Geräusch eines Gebläses zu hören, welches wir nachts als störend empfanden. Nach unserer Beschwerde wurden wir dann im 10. Stock, ebenfalls mit Blick zum Hof untergebracht, wo das Geräusch dann erträglicher war. Die Geräuschentwicklung im 4. Stock zur Hofseite hin entspricht u.E. nicht dem sonstigen hohen Komfort- und Serviceniveau dieses Hotels.

Wirklich hübsch!
Ich würde das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen. Recht teuer, aber komfortabel, hübsch und das Geld wert. Wir hatten zunächst ein Zimmer auf der 4. Etage, wollten gerne höher wohnen ... Kein Problem: kurzerhand bekamen wir die 11. Etage und ein lichtdurchflutetes größeres Zimmer mit riesigem Bad und 3 Fenstern. Upgrade ohne Aufpreis!

Super Hotel direkt am Central Park
Klasse Hotel direkt am Central Park, ich würde jederzeit wieder hingehen. Es war das erste Mal, dass ich mich privat in New York aufgehalten habe. Die Lage war wirklich gut, direkt in der Nähe der Shopping Areas und es war nicht so trubelig wie zB am Times Square, trotz allem war man schnell dort und konnte auch laufen, wenn man wollte. Das Personal wahr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sehr empfehlenswert auch der Cosmopolitan in der Hotelbar.

Although the hotel is extremely well located and the room sizes are great, it needs love & a good update. Rooms have objects that are "semi-broken" (like a lamp) and water damage (in the ceiling). After the entrance there is a "lounging" area with tables, were bubbles are present from the wall paper. But the worse part is the fact that staff does not care about you. I cannot count the number fo times I had to open the front door and the door to the street (two heavy doors) in the 6 days I was there. The receptionists are always talking to each other and ignore guests passing by. This is such an iconic hotel, how can manage let this happen?

Un accueil toujours agréable, avec un personnel attentionné. L'accès à un café au rdc, chaque matin Je regrette les prix dissuasifs du bar de chambre ainsi que lors du départ, nous devions descendre nos bagages. Location is great, value for what you receive as a guest could be better. Our bathroom had a window which is a plus for me personally and our room had excellent view to Madison Ave and the City. Some of the staff were polite and welcoming although this was not universal. At the time of check in, we were sent to a room which was not ready and filled with tobacco smell (it’s a nonsmoking hotel and obviously I don’t blame the hotel management for this), which has happened to me before in different ways, although the issue was addressed with some degree of nonchalance on behalf of the staff which was a little unexpected given the price level of this hotel. On average I stay in various 4 and 5 star hotels in the City twice a month and although incidents like this have happened to me in the past, they were handled much more tactfully.

My only complaint is a matter of personal taste, so not necessarily one that would be shared by other guests. I like a firm mattress, and the mattress in our room was rather soft. My wife in particular did not sleep well for the two nights we stayed for that reason. But again, all a matter of individual taste, and otherwise the hotel was exemplary in every respect.

Very nice hotel with very good and professional staff who go above and beyond to help make your stay a lovely experience. Very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable too. The receptionists were snobs. But the doorman and greeters were friendly and helpful. Multiple emails regarding pet fees went unanswered. No complimentary coffee after 830 am. Usage fees are excessive. Especially since you only stayed one night and didn’t use anything but room. Not worth the price at all.
