Eine tolle Unterkunft, sehr modern und schick. Das Zimmer war klein, aber rein zum Übernachten ausreichend. Im Bad könnten mehr Möglichkeiten zum Trocknen der Handtücher vorhanden sein, zwei Haken sind etwas dürftig. Ansonsten nichts zu beanstanden. Würden dort jederzeit wieder buchen.

Tolle Aussicht und freundliches Personal. In Fußnähe zum Times Square und zum Central Park. Subway in der Nähe und vielöe Möglichkeiten zum Shoppen und Essen in der Nähe. Das Hotel war sauber und leise, sogar der Verkehrslärm war gut gedämpft worden durch die Fenster. Ich bin rundum zurfrieden obwohl leider die Rooftop Bar nicht geöffnet war.

Extremely small room, No garderobe in room, you should pay extra for cleaning the room. The hotel has charged my credit card twice and I am still waiting for the refund since 3 weeks.

Great location and clever use of space & design
We had a lovely time. The design of the place is lovely and they really made the most return the space they have. Our room did not have a fridge, but they sent an office bucket up that did the trick for us. It's very clean and was perfect for a few days in the city. The location is great. The rooms aren't sounds proof, so that's something to pay attention to. I slept through any noise but my friend did wake up during the night. So if you're a light sleeper, bring some earplugs. Would definitely come back here. The Mexican restaurant next door has delicious food as well.

Aside from the fact that the rooms are a little small, as is to be expected in Manhattan, the Civilian hotel was otherwise absolutely perfect. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate a very early check-in, and then an unexpected late check out when my flight home got delayed. The staff (Colin, David, Nick, & Daniel stand out) and they were very friendly and made sure throughout the stay that I was happy. The rooms are very modern and clean, and the area surrounding the hotel is very walkable and safe. The location of the hotel is excellent to get around Manhattan, and of course, it’s situated close to all of the amazing restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay in New York City. I have very high standards and they not only met, but exceeded them.

We loved our time at CIVILIAN. Although the rooms as small (as expected for Times Square), they’re super cosy, clean and designed with practicality in mind. It’s got just enough storage for two cabin bags and a big bag. I’d definitely recommend it to couples and single people traveling to the city.

Love this hotel - so cute bougie boutique- awesome location just about a block from the lights & sounds of Times Square. The hotel has so many unique features including a great rooftop bar with a great view on the 27th floor & a second floor bar. I like how the website gives you various check in options such as pricing for early early late check out. Note that a cleaning service is not included and that does cost extra for a nominal fee ($15 maybe) but they do offer additional towels if needed. Staff has been great and they bring things to your room very quickly. We really appreciated Danny (Daniel) in the front lobby.He was super friendly & helpful. They really do think of every accessory in the room such as a steamer. My only negatives would be: cozy queen, the bed is oriented in a way that the person by the wall cannot get in and out of the bed without without climbing over the other person. Could use more hooks or towel racks in the bathroom.

The rooms are very tiny (as advertised), but it's such a pleasant vibe. I love that they are making a big effort to reduce waste, with biodegradable toothbrushes and no mini-bottles of product. And the staff couldn't have been nicer.

Super clean and well-appointed. Small rooms, but has everything you’d want or need. Price was reasonable for the area, and location was excellent—a few blocks away from the crowds and bustle of Times Square, so quiet enough to rest up before or after a day out in the city.

The position of the hotel was spot on. Short walks to all the main tourist places and subways for those further away. Great bars and restaurant. Room had limited space to hang clothes and would recommend them butting some hooks up on the walls. A tight squeeze past the bottom of the bed to get to the other side in the room we had.

We loved our stay here. The room was quite cozy but there were a lot of options to work with the small space! The view from our room was lovely as well. We also enjoyed the location, it’s close by to the subway and Times Square, but tucked away enough that it wasn’t loud in the evening. The only thing that could be changed is to add a shower curtain or glass window for the shower, as it is quite difficult for water not to get everywhere (even when you’re careful)! The good news was the ventilation system dries it up quite quickly, and it wasn’t an issue to ask for more towels from the front desk when we needed them. We really enjoyed our time here and we look forward to coming back!! :)

Great hotel that is a short walk from Times Square. If you are in NYC to see shows, this is the perfect location. If you don't like crowds, might not be for you. But the hotel and its staff are excellent. Nice rooms, very polite and helpful staff. Cocktail room has a happy hour and later a jazz band that is also excellent. Never got to the rooftop bar as the weather was not great.
