We are in the middle of renovating all the guest rooms, bathrooms and hallways and that floor is slotted to be done in the next few months. We had plans to start the renovation in 2020 but then COVID came and delayed us. We have renovated approximately 60% of the guest rooms so far and they are classified as Deluxe rooms. They are all 4 star quality and look amazing and are available to reserve. We would always recommend choosing the new renovated Deluxe rooms over the Superior room as the price difference is nominal. We were a bit confused by your comment about the building age and the heating and air conditioning system. The building is just 22 years old and we expanded and renovated the lobby and exterior in 2020 which are now 4 star quality. The guest rooms were last renovated in 2015-2016. Each guest room has individual controls for both heat and AC so not sure what the issue was but apologize for any inconvenience. We are starting a bathroom renovation within the next 30-60 days and then after that are replacing the HVAC system for all guest rooms. Once that is completed, we will finish our transition to a 4 star hotel with another renovation of the guest rooms starting in late 2022. Lots of great changes and upgrades are coming soon. The room you stayed in was recently gutted and renovated within the last year with all new furniture, fixtures and carpet so was very surprised to hear the comment about the carpet being dirty and old as we also routinely shampoo all guest rooms every 3 months. We will look into it and remedy immediately. As far as the bathroom, it is cleaned daily but we are currently going through each bathroom and doing a deep cleaning of all tile and grout. We always recommend choosing the newly renovated Deluxe rooms over the Superior rooms, as the price difference is nominal. Guests are certainly given priority but certain deliveries, depending how large can impact access but it is on an occasional basis only. We are only a 69 room boutique hotel and we are currently renovating the 10th floor and there is only one elevator that accesses floors 8-13. Most days the workers don't impact the elevator but we received some big furniture deliveries during your stay. We do our best to try and not inconvenience any guests and all work stops by 4 PM. We were very surprised by your comments about the guest rooms as the room you first stayed in was literally brand new and only 9 days old at that time. The second room was also a newly renovated Deluxe room and we believe they are 4 star quality with many amenities and much larger than most NYC hotels. We are currently ranked #36 in all of NYC's hotels, which is an amazing accomplishment that we have worked hard to get. are proud of and we think, is well-deserved. We will address the bathrooms immediately. They are cleaned daily so surprised there would be any grime build up but we appreciate you letting us know. We will be adding bathrobes and slippers eventually as well as other amenities like workout rooms, in the next 6-9 months. Eventually will have an indoor and outdoor observation deck for all guest's to enjoy our incredible views of the Empire State Building. Again, our apologies and we hope to see you back with us again.
