Simply perfect. Gorgeous eclectic interior design with many details to be discovered. Cheerful and welcoming staff making you feel at home. Very comfortable and spacious Junior Suite. Location is ideal to discover New Orleans.

Our stay was magnificent! Of course the beauty of the hotel is undeniable but what made our stay so special was the amazing team. Devonna, Shannon, Martin and Thaddeus created a warm and welcoming environment. Upon arrival, Shanna greeted us with a big smile. We shared that we were only in town for a few days but wanted to experience as much of New Orleans as possible. Shanna explained that Devonna was a NOLA native can could provide insight. Not only did Devonna go out of her way to create a list of fantastic activities. She also made reservations for dinner and tours on our behalf. Martin assisted us with our luggage and provided additional information about NOLA; making us feel welcomed. Thaddeus made a point to introduce himself. He told us about the dining options and offered his assistance. He was also delightful when bringing up our room service. The amazing team was for sure the highlight of our stay. Because of them we had a memorable and magical weekend. We can’t wait to return to Maison de la Luz!

Beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Outstanding and accommodating staff. Fresh cookies at 8pm. Very cool speakeasy bar with hidden passage. Conveniently located. Only drawback was hearing the streetcar early in the morning

Very comfortable
Comfortable is what best describes Maison de La Luz. All areas are very clean and well decorated. The location is good. The room was comfortable, spacious and extremely clean. There’s a happy hour every afternoon with complimentary wine, cheese and grapes and we enjoyed that. Coffee and milk was delivered every morning to our room (the only thing that didn’t happen as expected because we had to call twice for it).

This is my new favorite hotel in downtown New Orleans. The staff are warm & welcoming. It’s one of the smaller hotels, but it has lots of charm and personal touches. 10/10 would stay here again!

I loved and I mean loved this hotel!! Staff were amazing. Room was amazing. The service was impeccable and the decor was off the charts. Super amazing. I can totally see myself coming back to New Orleans just to stay here again. 10 out of 10. I've been travelling a lot recently and I can easily say this is the top hotel I've been to this year.

It is a different hotel, but once you get thenmood it is great! The staff is the best about it. Also the secret bar is very cool, there’s no need to go anywhere else.

Maison de La Luz is one of the loveliest hotels in New Orleans. The location is preferable to hotels in the Quarter. It’s close enough, but out of the crazy hustle and bustle. The attention to detail at the hotel is phenomenal. From the decor to the offerings of light snacks in the evenings to the hotel staff’s friendly assistance with your needs there’s none better. I highly recommend the hotel bar for its atmosphere and wonderful drinks. I will be back! Thank you Maison De La Luz!

Everyone at this hotel was kind, thoughtful and helpful -- the whole hotel was about 6 stories but maintained a small hotel feel. i have stayed at many hotels but the service here was really personal and exceptional. Staying here allowed us to tour the french quarter and the rest of new orleans with ease. I highly recommend this hotel over any of the much larger chains in the area, and this location was central but peaceful. Most importantly the hotel allowed access to but avoided the pressures and congestion of bourbon street and the tourist areas of the french quarter...

The staff was very nice and helpful. Clean rooms, nice tall ceilings in historic building. Great location. Our only issues were the tv’s. Our volume went in and out and then stopped working. They finally switched us to a different room. Not a huge deal though. I would definitely stay there again. Convenient to trolly and all locations. I really enjoyed that it was a couple of blocks from the large crowds in the tourist areas!
