Great Property
We had a great time. Great privacy in the back. Great access to river. Fun but slightly ackward in the front where the pool, hot tub, and grill are. The owners quarters located next to pool. The owner decided to do yard work when we were there. I said “thank you for letting us stay” and she turned with no response. They charged for towels that I don’t recall them becoming destroyed. (Hoping it wasn’t from my group however they had another guest the next night) Guess I am used to hosts calling those expenses part of the service… especially after paying $1700+

Quiet weekend
We enjoyed our stay. When we booked we did not read fully and understand that the pool is between the front house and the rental property. It wasn’t summer so we didn’t get in the pool but it felt awkward. Also the driveway is not well lit. It was a nice quiet time. Lots of bed space! Good for groups

We're so glad this guest had a quiet weekend, but we are a little confused why the home deserves a 3 star review when the guest admits that they didn't read the advertisement in its entirety. That's too bad, but we're very happy she and her group had a nice time and felt the sleeping accommodates were good!

Great location on the river
The spot on the river was great! The size of the house was perfect for 8 adults. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and clean. There was another house that backed up to where the pool and hot tub were which was a little weird and made it feel not private (although we never saw anyone in that house).

Wonderful House on the water
This is a great property for a group. There’s a pool & hot tub in the front (the entire front of the house is behind a privacy fence ) and private river access in the back. Very close to Schlitterbahn, but not loud and busy. It’s a great hang our house . As noted by other reviewers, the interior stairs are a steep spiral staircase. There’s an outdoor stairs that are very easily accessible. Most beds are upstairs.

NO PRIVACY in POOL
This property is behind another home with a shared driveway. Pictures do show this however they do not show that the front property has a sliding glass door 4-5 ft from the pool. The yard is shared property and very weird that you can hear them in the home. The blinds were closed but doesn't mean they can't look in on your family in the pool area. Made us uncomfortable with young girls in bathing suits. They don't put that in the photos. Also outdoor furniture is old. Sofa is so hard it hurts your bottom to watch a full movie. Felt like AC kept being adjusted from an outside source remotely anytime we lowered it during the night.

We appreciate our guests, and we are always willing to address any issue regarding their stay. Our guest did not have any home complaints during occupancy or after departure. This guest also did not have young children in her party; she had 8 adults. Sadly, the issue centered around a charge for damage, but the guest escalated through VRBO twice for a refund, and both times an impartial party would not support a refund after seeing pictures and the written exchanges. The guest was charged to steam clean the sofa that had splatter stains all over it, stains admitted by the guest. In order to book with us, guests agree to pay for any damage done to the property or its contents. We simply held this guest to the rental agreement. In the guest’s own words, “I would request reversal of the charge before you get a very bad review.’ We didn’t reverse the charge and now we have this review, unfortunately. We are so grateful for each of our guests, but we have a commitment to maintain the property as advertised.

We enjoyed Edgewater Escape for my 50th bday weekend - lots of space, great kitchen, comfy beds - and our tween/teen kiddos enjoyed the upstairs as their own - we loved the hot tub - it was a quick weekend that was jam packed with fun family time - great house!

River retreat
The property was roomy, clean and well equipped and comfortable as advertised. We enjoyed sitting on the dock by the river and enjoyed seeing the wildlife. The neighborhood has many deer which are nice to observe, however, guests need to be very cautious while driving due to all the deer. This property is conveniently located close to dining and shopping areas. The neighborhood is older and appears to be in a transition stage with both older and newer properties. Very quite and peaceful. Enjoyed our stay.

Wonderfully relaxing
Nice size home, beautiful waterfront location. My family was sharing with my in-laws, so having a nice master suite downstairs for them and a separate space upstairs for my husband and I and our 3 teens was ideal. The kitchen was large and well stocked with cooking implements. Having the home at the back of the property and trying to find the entrance and the lock box in the dark on our first night was a bit of a challenge, but we were able to get in! We all loved the wonderful outdoor living spaces provided and coffee or tea on the deck in the morning soaking in the quiet and birdsong was a favorite of all ages. The dock with easy access to the river was a favorite of the teens for sure! Pricing was a bit higher than expected due to large host fees, in addition to the nightly rate, but it was a good value.

Great options for summer!
We loved that this property had a pool, hot tub, and river access! The options are what made it stand out for us. The inside was very clean but the outside furniture of the property looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. On the back patio there were a lot of people hat looked like cake crumbles covering one of the tables. Additionally we trouble with the downstairs air conditioning through the stay. I realize a lot of it was opening and closing the doors during the day, but it only got down to 77 at night. These were not deal breakers for us and we throughly enjoyed the water options and the proximity to town and the new HEB. Overall good time with family!

Overall the stay was very good, facility was nice, .property owners were on site for a short bit and we’re very helpful and kind to let us use their office to change into our Santa Claus situation, we enjoyed the various outdoor settings. Hot tub was a plus. kitchen was well stocked and beds were very comfortable. We will definitely return.

Amazing Home
My friends and I rented this property for the weekend and we were blown away! The owners have thought of literally everything you could possibly need during your stay. The hole has so much character. Everything is labeled (lights, remotes ect) as far as what it controls or does which is super helpful. The hot tub was amazing and very clean. The location was great as you are situated right next to Schlitterbahn and downtown New Braunfels almost. We had such a great time and even got to meet the owners on the last day. Such lovely people! We will be renting this home again!

Great Place for a River Getaway
Property, property owners and Vrbo were great to work with. The property manager could have and should have done a better job cleaning. If you're looking for a good river getaway with friends, this is your place.

We had such a wonderful time!! The house was the perfect layout for our family and kids. There was something for everyone to do. We rented golf carts and were so close to Schlitterbahn, food & ice cream shop. Will definitely stay here again. We had such a great time!! Highly recommend!

They need better pots and pans to cook in like for eggs and the River is non Swimmable too much debris but we enjoy the pool area and the barbecue pit overall I would give a 8 from a 10

We're so glad you enjoyed your vacation. A river does have debris but if that doesn't fit a guest's needs, then the pool and hot tub provided should! After this guest's departure, we did notice that there was breakfast food left in the pans for us to clean, but we recommend that if guests aren't using cooking spray to avoid sticking, then to simply turn down the temperature a bit and that always helps. So glad you enjoyed the outdoors with a good barbecue!

Nice River House
We enjoyed this conveniently located river house in the heart of New Braunfels. The house is on a nice quiet stretch of the Guadalupe, just above where the Comal River joins the Guadalupe. The house has a newly constructed dock that’s fun to fish off (bring fishing gear). We brought kayaks. The stairs to the dock are steep and one of my kayaks is quite heavy, so we put in at Cypress Bend Park, about a ten minute paddle to the house. There is a small dam you will need to pull your boat over. The easiest route here is to the right of the river. We took the boats out by paddling to the Comal and upstream for about 100 yards (not difficult) to the stairs that ascend to the intersection of Lincoln and Union Streets. We had no trouble loading the kayaks here, but it was mid-April and there wasn’t much river traffic. I don’t know how easy this would be in the summer. The pool an hot tub are nice, and the house is quite comfortable. We had an opportunity to meet the owners, who own the house next door, and they were delightful. San Antonio is close, and we enjoyed visiting the Witte Natural Science Museum there with the grandkids. I highly recommend this place!

Absolutely perfect place for our girls trip.
This place was awesome, it literally has everything you need, we kayaked in backyard, enjoyed the Jacuzzi every night and even jumped in pool a few times to cool from hot tub. The location is close to restaurants and bars and downtown shopping. We had amazing bloody Mary's at the Blue Whale pub, great burgers at Tin Top , amazing food at the River House in Gruene and had a blast at the Watering Hole bar. We will for sure be coming back with the familes. Our kids would love it, just down the block from Schlitterbaun. Perfect place with a peaceful morning watching and hearing the birds while drinking coffee on the back patio watching the river flow by.
