Very nice apartment. Clean and well appointed. Only bad point was the stairs which we did not know about in advance. Very difficult for someone with Vertigo. The staff are lovely and very helpful. Position is within walking distance to shops, restaurants etc

The rooms were clean and staff were friendly. However only 1 lift worked the whole time we were there. Also very poor laundry facilities. For such a big complex there were only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers.

It's not what they make out to be in the photo's.beds were very uncomfortable it felt like you were sleeping on Springs. And for a self contained apartment I expected a bit better.

We had a wonderful stay at the Oakes. Very large and spacious apartment, full kitchen and all utensils, everything was clean and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking Nelson Bay. Only a few minutes walk to Woolworths and great doning options, and 7 mins to the Marina with lots of activities to keep the family entertained. We loved it!

Casper, There was a system glitch and the property was full on the evening you arrived. As discussed with the caretaker when you arrived afterhours they were collecting dinner, not a party and unable to check the system. You were also advised that we would contact you soon once they had worked out what had happened however you decided to book elsewhere.

Room was very clean, the only thing that let the room down was the size of the shower head. After driving 7 hours looking forward for a comfy bed and a hot shower. Hate showers you have at run around to get wet.

Very spacious, clean apartment with lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of parking. Situated at the top of a hill but walking distance to the main shops, Woolworths, the Bowling Club and down to the Marina. The apartment we stayed in had quite a steep staircase inside so just be mindful of that when you are booking and ask as that may be a problem for some people. The area was nice and quiet. Overall, it is a lovely property and one I will stay again in one day.

Was given a room that was different to what was booked and paid for. Instead of 2 bathrooms the property had 1 and the bedrooms were supposed to be in seperate areas but they were next to each other. Pillows were all high, thick, hard and uncomfortable. Surely you can a mix to suit different requirements. WIFI was about as useful as a flyscreen on a submarine and we all had to hotspot off our own phones. Not sure why you would have to pay more for alleged faster speed when you just offer the best speed to everyone.

What I didn’t like about this property ….. photo on last minute.com.au looked lovely with big windows looking out to the ocean. When we opened our door we were greeted with a view of neighbouring buildings. We haven’t travelled much before but I guess common sense should have told us you don’t get window views on a last minute site. Was also a bit surprised when reception was closed at 6pm, and because of this we couldn’t do express checkout thenext morning when we actually wanted to leave early

Great views. Nice location. Didn't realise we'd have to go down a few steps to our room. After taking the lift. My poor husband had to drag our cases down a few steps. (I have a bad back, so unable to help). No hand towel was provided a policy of the property. Needed extra shelving in the shower.
