This sprawling designer-decorated property is over 6000 sq ft on nearly 3 acres, with fantastic year-round views and enough to keep your whole group entertained. Outside, you'll love the hot tub, barrel sauna, massive stone firepit, dining area, and huge fenced yard. The interior features 6 bedrooms (sleeps 16), 2 game rooms, wellness room, poker room, bar, office, and 16 person dining table. Plus, pet friendly! Managed by New School Hosting.

The Black Walnut is in the neighborhood of Stoney Creek, where you can enjoy the beach at Lake Monocan, a 27 hole golf course, and Stoney Creek Park. Stoney Creek is located directly along route 151, famous in Virginia for over a dozen wineries, breweries, and cideries. The property is a 3 minute drive to the Stoney Creek clubhouse where guests can enjoy a round of golf, tennis, community pool, or a meal and cocktails at Iron & Ale Restaurant. And just 25 minutes away is Stoney Creek's sister neighborhood Wintergreen, known for skiing, amazing vistas, spa, and dining. Plus, some of the best hiking in the state is along the Blue Ridge Parkway, less than 20 mins away.

The property itself is on a very large lot, and is laid out as follows:

Backyard:

- Brand new patio with hot tub, 6 person barrel sauna, and custom stone gas firepit. The firepit puts out an impressive 420,000 BTUs (as compared to a regular firepit that puts out 55,000)!
- Deck with outdoor dining table for 12, bar seating for 4, gazebo with smaller fire table, and gas grill
- Large fenced yard to let kids and dogs play
- The property extends beyond the fence all the way to the treeline, so there is an even larger unfenced yard for a game of flag football, ultimate frisbee, or whatever else your group can conjure up!

Inside, main level:

- Main living room with big screen TV, ample comfortable seating, and gas fireplace
- Adjoining the living room is a built-in bar area, with bar seating for 4, ice maker, and plenty of glassware
- Fully stocked eat-in kitchen with double oven, pantry, bar seating for 2, plus dining table for 8
- Dining room / Sunroom, adjacent to the kitchen features a massive 16 person dining table with comfortable seating and mountain views
- Sitting area at far end of sun room, perfect for more intimate conversation
- BR1: King master bedroom with ensuite bathroom featuring double vanity and soaker tub. Adjoining BR1 is a nursery with crib and rocking chair.
- BR2: Bedroom with 2 sets of queen-over-queen bunk beds
- Hall full bath
- Poker room with table that seats 8 and large TV
- Wellness room / gym with sauna, peleton bike, 2 massage chairs, and weights
- Game room with foosball, shuffleboard, air hockey, karaoke machine, 2 arcades with several games each, darts, Nintendo Switch, and large TV with couch
- Office with desk, chair, 2 monitors, plus small couch
- Laundry room with full size washer and dryer

Other things to note:

- We welcome dogs! Your one-time $200 pet fee covers up to 4 dogs. Simply register your pets when you select the number of guests for your reservation.
- Wifi is fast with a strong signal throughout the house and deck.
- The living room, game room, poker room, wellness room, and 5 of the bedrooms feature smart TVs where you can access all the main streaming services. We do not subscribe to cable
- The large firepit goes through the equivalent of 1 tank of propane per hour- it is... powerful! Please turn off when you're not using it :)
- We provide a fully stocked coffee bar with multiple coffee drip and Keurig options
- Linens and towels provided
- Guests can enjoy free community pool access in the summer season (though the HOA rules stipulate no more than 6 guests at a time, and the permitted hours are 2-6pm). Just a 3 min drive away.
- We do require a separate rental agreement, which we will send a link to e-sign after you book. There are no additional fees beyond those listed here.
