The property itself was average. What we didn't realize was that the casino was not in the hotel. However, the hotel did provide a shuttle service to the casino. Also, the continental breakfast was better than average. The thing that was most irritating was the fact that there is no daily housekeeping. You had to go down to the front desk to get clean towels, toilet paper, etc.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby and breakfast area were updated and clean and the bed/pillows were comfy. On the downside, the room was very outdated and the furniture was worn. The towel hook was missing from the bathroom door which left a hole in the door and the shower curtain was dirty and torn. The floor needed a good cleaning as well as it left our socks/feet very dirty upon our arrival. We also should have read the description better because we did not realize the Casino is not in the hotel. While not a total disappointment, the overall experience was not what we were expecting.

Loved that everything was so clean from the lobby area, the elevators and especially the room. The staff was so friendly and helpful and very polite, love that southern hospitality! We walked several tmes to the nearby parks and restaurants and never felt unsafe. This hotel is one I would come back to. Thank you!

It was very clean, beds were comfortable, hot breakfast was wonderful. The bar doesn't have regular hours. We were looking for a night cap and when we got back, it was closed. It would be nice for them to post the open hours.

We are sad to report that the room we stayed in indeed was not in the best condition and pillows were stained and dirty. Came home with bug bites too. Very dusty room. Before you check in, ask the staff to clean and wipe down room 2x. I wish we woykd have done this in hindsight.

All of the staff is very friendly. The beds are not comfortable at all, furniture is old and scarred, shelf over the clothes hanging rack pulling away from the wall. The hotel needs serious updates to the rooms. The lobby area is beautiful so a bit deceiving.

My room was nice and clean. I could smell that it was freshly cleaned which helped me relax. I will be booking another stay this week.
Only 3 minutes from 2 good restaurants, “The Camp, and Magnolia Grill” I’ve dined at, and this is the view outside the restaurant.

Great hotel
My stay at Magnolia Bluffs was short but oh so sweet. Everyone was very helpful and welcoming. The hotel has been updated, so it had a great eye appeal. In the room, I liked the way they repurposed the large wooden cabinet that was used for the older bulky televisions. They placed the small fridge and microwave in that area and placed the flat screen on top. The furniture was heavy and very pretty. I have to say, the cherry on top of this stay was Ms. Cynthia. She is the one who prepared the free breakfast. Not only does she know how to cook delicious grits but her charming personality was, well refreshing. She simply exuded southern hospitality at its best!!! I will be staying here when visiting the area in the future.
