Elm Lodge Ferienhütte

Dieses große und komfortable Haus liegt hoch auf einem Hügel in den Wäldern von Brown County und bietet Frieden und Ruhe. Das Haus verfügt über eine abgeschirmte Veranda, ein Deck und viel Platz im Freien, um zu wandern oder ein Abenteuer zu erleben.

Das Erdgeschoss verfügt über ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit Stein, Holzkamin und Futon für zwei Gäste. Der angeschlossene Essbereich befindet sich neben der Küche. Die Hauptebene verfügt über eine Master-Suite mit Queensize-Bett und privatem sowie ein zweites Schlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett und ein weiteres Badezimmer.

Im Erdgeschoss unterhält das Familienzimmer die Gäste mit einem Billardtisch, einem Gaskamin und einem Schlafsofa für zwei Gäste. Es gibt zwei weitere Schlafzimmer, eines mit einem Kingsize-Bett und eines mit einem Queensize-Bett. Ein komplettes Badezimmer befindet sich zwischen den beiden Schlafzimmern. Der Keller bietet Zugang zum Hinterhof.

Die große abgeschirmte Veranda ist der perfekte Ort zum Entspannen. Spielen Sie Karten am Tisch oder machen Sie einfach ein Nickerchen in den Adirondack-Stühlen. Der Holzkohlegrill im Freien ist ein großartiger Ort, um Ihre Lieblingsgrillgerichte zuzubereiten. Es gibt auch einen Whirlpool auf dem Unterdeck zu genießen.

Wenn Sie zusätzlichen Platz benötigen, können Sie im nahe gelegenen Tree House übernachten, das eine Viertelmeile entfernt liegt und Platz für bis zu 6 Gäste bietet. Beide liegen in der Nähe des Yellowwood State Forest, 5 km von Nashville und 8 km vom Brown County State Park entfernt.

Just as described!

This was a nice stay! Had everything we need. Nothing fancy, but great space!My only complaint would be that you have to check in at a separate location and drop keys off there, but it’s only a 10 minute drive! I also couldn’t get an email response back from the rental company but they were responsive by phone.

Perfect Cabin for a Quiet Getaway

We absolutely LOVED this property. There was ample room for anything and everything we had planned, it was stocked with all the right amenities, and the ambiance was perfect. The kitchen table is BIG and we had more than enough room for everyone, and there were plenty of seats in the living area as well for our party of 7. The water pressure and quality more than met our needs, and the WiFi was more than adequate for a little bit of streaming we had on for the youngest guests. Overall, definitely a 10/10 as far as stays go, we would definitely recommend and would for sure stay again!

Good for a group

Overall a great stay- location is perfect and good common space for a group! The futons are not really realistic for adults to sleep on, we had some very sore people by the end of the weekend, although they may be fine for kids. I thought it was strange we had to bring our own paper towel and there was no dish soap. However, we would come back again! Driveway was not too bad, just have to go for it.

ProIt is as described and things to bring. Excellent location to Nashville and BTown for Graduation. Over all had great time. Very pieceful. Would do again with whole large familyConDidn’t know about relative steep gravel drive. Some family members real nervous on first drive up.. Rainy made it worse and slickAll the window crank knobs we’re broke which made closing extremely difficult.

Family Weekend

We gathered to have an intimate wedding ceremony with only our adult children. The house was the perfect size for us and the beautiful setting allowed for family photos. All in all, it exceeded our expectations. Do believe them when they say the driveway is steep! We did not have any trouble but could be a surprise if not expecting.

Great cabin!

We stayed in Elm Lodge three nights during an intense rain event. Flooding everywhere in the Nashville area including in our cabin. Management was amazing! They found us another cabin to check in to but the roads were closed due to flooding so we stuck it out. With a shop vacuum and manpower, we kept the water at bay for the first night and by the next morning, it had stopped completely! An act of nature did not damper our trip!This is a wonderful cabin! Well supplied, lovely grounds and view and adequate room for our party of twelve. Beds and futons need to be updated but they served their purpose. Firewood is provided for both the fireplace and fire pit - a huge plus! Be aware that the drive to the cabin is steep but manageable and you navigate many gravel roads to get there but it is well worth it!We would definitely stay here again. Management was in constant communication and went above and beyond taking good care of us.

We are 55-65 y.o. and the terrain was a bit rough. Door to the lower level needs to open out, not in. Need more lamps in bedrooms. Hot tub cover had black mold or something on the underside of the cover. Not usable. Screened porch the best!!

Great Cabin. Just difficult to get there.

The cabin itself was great. We had a group of friends meet up for a weekend getaway and play board games. Good times were had. Beds were great. Water presswas amazing. The only complaint about the weekend and reason we would not choose this site again is the steep driveway. It was a challenge for all to go up the driveway - some couldnt do it. It seemed as if they had fresh gravel put down recently which just made it worse. Again, very good cabin for our needs.

Unusual Concerns

The cabin was neat and clean. Beds were comfortable. I didn’t find dish towels. There was not a dishwasher. The check in procedure was very regimented. We completed the necessary paperwork but we were required to wait until just before 4:00 to be handed the keys. Standing around in the office waiting for the key even though we had completed all paperwork was awkward. Some information provided listed items to bring including toilet paper. I found this unusual and caused me concern prior to arrival. There was toilet paper in the cabin upon arrival. Perhaps this info was for other more rugged properties but it should not have been listed this way for the cabin. I think a review of info provided would be helpful for the business.

Cozy and Quiet, Yet Convenient

The cabin was quiet, clean, and cozy, perched atop a quiet hill. Great location too. Close to Nashville, and a fairly simple drive to Bloomington largely on gravel roads leading to 46. The cabin's wifi worked well, which was an unexpected bonus. If I was looking for downside, I'd say the kitchen could be better stocked.

Family Christmas 2023

This was the first year we decided to celebrate Christmas as a whole family - our adult children, sister and brother-in-law, aunt and mother-in-law. It was a wonderful experience! There were 9 of us. The cabin fit us well. We had plenty of room to play games as a group or spread out between the screened porch, hot tub and lower level with the pool table. Thank you for helping create a wonderful family memory and start of a new tradition!

Girl’s Weekend

Beautiful setting in the woods, and very cozy house. Comfortably sleeps 8. Needs new mattresses, and furniture. Basement door opens the wrong way, and is a safety hazard. It would be great if a lock box with a code was on the door, the trip in town to get the key was long. Also, communication comes from a different company than VRBO. I missed an email because of that. The space in the home was great!! Lots of extra linens. I would recommend!
