Great, private spot for groups and reunions!
Our group of about fifteen, including four kids, had a great time! The spot is an easy drive from Milwaukee, but plenty secluded and a beautiful area. The kids had a ton of fun on the private lake with the provided paddleboat, and the house was amazingly spacious for the adults to spread out and relax. The owners were very gracious and responsive to questions - it's clear they care deeply about the property. We would definitely come back!

Stunning spot
We had an absolutely incredible time staying at this gorgeous lake house. It's beautifully set up for family reunions or groups of friends, with plenty of space to hang out together, walk to the lake, cook, etc. Highly recommend!

This place is incredible!
What an amazing property for a big group get together. There’s plenty of space for sleeping, cooking, eating and an endless amount of activities to keep any group busy during their stay. We never felt any need to leave! Pictures and videos don’t do this place justice, it’s simply fantastic!

Mukwonago Lake Home fun
Beautiful spring-fed lake with good fishing 🎣. Kids loved kayaking, paddle boarding, paddle boating, rowing out to fish, & swimming. They named the giant prehistoric turtles (Petunia hangs out under the pier & so does Pete). Loads of room for our giant family with 4 full bathrooms AND 2 powder rooms. Roomy bedrooms. House & GUEST HOUSE accomodated our huge family. Resident geese & wild turkey came to visit each day & a couple of us caught a glimpse of the white deer. The property is beautiful with a lot of trees & a fun swing. Nice sandy area for the little children. Thank you fir a terrific time. 👍

A Perfect Getaway
Lakewood Farms was an exceptional place to experience a weekend retreat. The natural setting is gorgeous ( the sunrise out the kitchen window!) the beauty and nostalgia of the house is welcoming and warm. Even saw a herd of 12 deer one morning! We loved every moment!

Family Reunion
Property was perfect for Family Reunion of about 25 people. Host was very pleasant and helpful. Only glitch was Air-conditioning failed second night and temperature got up to 85 in main house. We had to purchase 2 fans and although fixed that evening didn't cool down till following am.

A Beautiful Home and Property
The arrangement of bedrooms and bathrooms was quite unique, - loved it! Kitchen was large and so easy to fix the big family dinners we had. The lake is more than I imagined. The kayaks and water "toys" made time on the lake so much fun for all. (No motorized boats - YaY!) A wonderful stay for our annual family get-together!

Excellent house and location for big groups
We had a bachelor party group near 20 that this house was perfect for. There is so much to do on the property. There is plenty of space for games; the lake is incredible; no shortage of areas to hang out indoor or out, with plenty of seating for a large group. The house and property feel like you are isolated while there are restaurants and big grocery stores 5 min away so everything was super easy. I strongly recommend this place to others!

Best Family getaway
I know people will assume that I am exaggerating, but our family weekend was the best! There is a private lake, basketball, tennis, boat house, guest house, fun toys for the kids. The lake was a non stop win for the kids and the adults. Multiple boats, paddle boards, fishing equipment (bring your own advanced fishing equipment / bait if you want to do serious fishing). The basic were included and perfect for kids trying for the first time. Boat House was a huge outdoor / indoor hangout location. Every area of the main house fits 15 people, so you can do different whole family activities. The lot is very private outside of wildlife. We saw a bald eagle every day. Had Turkey vultures (I am not a huge bird person, but think I am correct with the type of bird) with little chicks walk around all weekend. No dangerous wildlife. Walking distance from a local camp and horses too. Walking distance from an amazing pie place.

Perfect getaway!
My family and I celebrated our Christmas at Lakewood. It was truly amazing! From the moment we drove up the driveway (the house was lit up with Christmas lights), the house was perfect. Honestly, we wouldn’t change anything. The living room provided us with plenty of space for our family of 14, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook and bake, and everyone was comfortable in a bed. The little kids shared the room with the bunk beds and all the adults had their own space / bedrooms. There is a second fridge/freezer in the laundry room (this was fabulous) and the stove is massive (2 ovens, 6 burners). The view from the living room is absolutely breathtaking. It snowed a bit while we were there, so the trees were white and beautiful icicles hung from the side of the house. We all went sledding, built snowmen, threw snowballs, etc. The guys went Ice fishing and caught a bunch of fish. We plan on staying at Lakewood Farms again and again!!! And the kids had fun playing hide and seek. We brought flashlights to make hide and seek even more fun! We worked with David prior to our stay and he was very helpful with all of our questions! And Tom was fantastic too- he came up and greeted us on day one (and brought us fresh eggs from the chicken coop). Both were fantastic! Hope you enjoy Lakewood as much as we did.

Wedding Weekend!
Lakewood Farms is such a special place! From giving us an early check on Thursday to set up, a well equipped large kitchen, tremendous great room with several sitting areas with excellent views, private lake with many water activities, tennis games, vast grounds for badminton and tennis golf to gatherings around a fire pit, we couldn't have asked for more. My son's wedding was the culmination of a very special weekend for my son, his Bride and both families coming together celebrating and making lifelong beautiful memories! Thank you Tom, for being such a gracious, helpful host. You were awesome! Also, loved the fresh eggs!

We had a girls weekend with a big group and it was fantastic! Wonderful, comfortable house with lots of space for everyone. Beds were comfy too! Our one issue was that there wasn't hot water for showers, but we made it work and would definitely return. Great people to work with!

Fantastic Property for our Family Reunion
This property is truly a treasure. The home is beautiful example of 1960's mid century architecture with a timeless and family friendly floor plan. We had 3 generations of family staying in the home and the bunkhouse with room to spare. The lake and the property offered space for lots of activities to wear out some very active children and allowed the older adults a quiet place to recharge from the chaos. The large living room was more than ample space for our noisy family gatherings and games. The big well equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare meals for our large group with many cooks in the kitchen. The grocery stores were conveniently close by for our many soda and beer runs. The owners were incredible and very responsive. I would not hesitate to return to this beautiful and peaceful location. It was a wonderful opportunity to stay is such a beautiful family home.

Mother Nature at her best!
The house was accommodating for our group with plenty of room to spare. The views and property was tranquil and showed some of Mother nature’s best work. Stunning and sprawling. Excellent for large gatherings yet affording peace and quiet simultaneously
We had a great time at the estate, using the amenities to the fullest. From Tennis, to 16” softball, to fishing and swimming — we did it all. The trees on the property are magnificent, both old and young Oaks that will enhance character for years to come. The property caretaker was extremely kind and available if needed. The arrival and departure experiences were seamless. Incredible amount of space for sleeping, gathering in doors, in the boat house, or on the back portch. So many options to hang out and spend QT. Will definitely go back!

Fantastic For Family Reunions
The O'Bryan Family was great to work with, very accommodating, and made the weekend a pleasure. The house, bunk house, and cabin were perfect as folks were able to gather when they wanted, but also to have quiet time in the midst of a crazy family reunion. We would definitely rent this property again. The reunion was a success in large part due to the property.

Great Property with Hospitable Hosts
Owners are on the property and go out of their way to make you feel at home and make sure you have everything you need. They even sent over some of the world's best pie from the Elegant Farmer. We were there as part of a 27 person staff retreat. As for working in the home, we experienced some rainy, cloudy days and in turn could have used more lighting. Also, we had to purchase some three-prong electric adapters for laptop chargers and projectors. Other than that, our stay was enjoyable. We had more than enough resources to use on sight and would definitely recommend this property and/or use it again in the future.

This is beautiful property in a stunning setting.
We had an outstanding family gathering in this beautiful setting. We appreciated that the owners were open to us hosting a gathering - dinner for 50 - during our stay. The home is as described on the website making it appropriate for a large, intergenerational family group to get together. The beds are comfortable, the setting quiet, even the weather was pretty accommodating for May. We were thus able to take advantage of some of the amenities, yard, tennis court and some of the water toys.

What a perfect place to spend time with extended family! Finding a property that can accommodate our parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, great grandkids is difficult. PERFECT for a family reunion!
Wow. Pictures do not do this estate justice: peaceful, spacious, and gorgeous views. We loved fishing, basketball, and impromptu kickball and bocce ball on the ample grounds. The main house and guest house are just 50 feet from each other, so we were able to truly be present together. The great room is easily big enough for 30 people to eat and play games together and there was lots of cabinet storage for food. We could not be happier with our experience and hope to return!

great house; magnificent property!
The setting with its private lake, available kayaks and fishing boats, expansive property, walking trails, and yet near town is just plain hard to beat! The house is extremely comfortable with lots of living space for those who want to spread out, two refrigerators, ample bathrooms, and a great porch to escape the evening mosquitoes . The boat house porch and deck are perfect for relaxing, fishing, or hanging with those playing on the beach. We brought our own shampoo, soap, detergent, a hair dryer, and beach towels because they were not listed as supplied items, but they were available after all. There were very few negatives - the larger row boat leaks and the shower floors are really slippery. Not a bad list after a wonderful stay!

Lovely large estate home with lots of character and personalized attention from member of owning family. Huge lake with multiple options for water activities. We suggest that the beautiful soda fountain sitting in the laundry room be fixed/activated. It would add a wonderful and festive additional dimension for family celebrations.

Literally a Perfect Getaway
We booked the house for a long weekend and a wedding. With 130+ guests and a bunch of family traveling in from around the globe, how do you pull off a simple backyard wedding? This place. The onsite manager was simply wonderful (saved our butts with an extra oven) and went above and beyond. The house was clean, open and airy and didn't have the unused smell you often get with vacation rentals. The kitchen was big and easy to cook in and the outdoor area was well maintained and really pretty. All the rooms were clean and people said the beds were comfy. The thing I liked most though was the layout of the living space. We had a bunch of groups who were able to gather and have conversations and the space really promoted both big and small interactions. Really lovely and a seamless rental experience!

Great home for our family reunion or vacation
Our family have a perfect reunion we ranged in age from 2 to 88 and had family from Ohio, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Afghanistan. Everyone agreed this was the best place yet. We will be definitely make a return trip.
