„My elderly parents and I were elated throughout our stay in this lovely cabin with vintage flair. It is within walking distance to Cuyamaca Lake and within a short drive to Julian. The cabin is very clean, and it has all the kitchen essentials, laundromat combo, TV, WiFi, etc. We have stayed here before, and we were glad to come back for the peace and tranquility we enjoy in these paradise-like surroundings. „Our family stayed here for a weekend fishing trip to Lake Cuyamaca (about a 10 minute drive from the cabin). It was absolutely beautiful and so tranquil. Our family had everything we could ask for in terms of supplies and “at home” comforts in the cabin. The host was great and very responsive. We especially enjoyed sitting out in the patio area with the old California oaks and the other pretty trees throughout the yard. Make sure you go out and drink in the starry skies at night, too. „The beds were comfortable. We loved the coziness and warmth of the fireplace. The stained glass windows are so pretty and the views are gorgeous. The cleaning crew could do a better job. There was a pull-out cutting board that hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival and water was pooled at the bottom of the fridge with pieces of food floating in it. We stayed for one week and there was only 1 roll of paper towels provided, 1 additional roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and no extra trash ...

„It is a quaint little rustic cabin tucked away in the woods. The deck is lovely spot to spend a morning drinking some coffee and watching the variety of birds that fly by. I had an issue with my truck and was able to quickly communicate with John about staying an extra day and even getting to check out a little later, closer to when my truck would be fixed.Definitely recommend staying here!“

„I decided at the last minute to get away for four days to a VERY quiet place because my sweet, calm dog is terrified of fireworks: he trembled all night. „We immediately settled right in and relaxed. The dogs loved it too! The wood stove kept things nice and warm inside the cabin despite it being in the 30s outside. Nearby hiking and activities were great. The wolf Conservatory, Lions Tigers and Bears, Lake Cuyamaca, and Julian were all visited and thoroughly enjoyed. Great spot for a weekend getaway!“
