Our stay was very good! Had a nice room with a giant bed and the outdoor pools (heated) were amazing. Also the restaurant was good and the staff in the whole hotel was very kind. Unfortunately our air condition didn‘t work right.. our clothes were very wet.

Gute Lage, Zimmer unterdurchschnittlich
Das Poco a poco liegt in zentraler Lage in Santa Elena. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich gegenüber und das Zentrum ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Das erste Zimmer, welches wir nehmen sollten, bat keine Aussicht und lag direkt an der Straße, ansonsten war es hell, sauber und hatte einen Ventilator. Trotzdem zogen wir in ein anderes Zimmer, da wir keine Lust auf Straßenlärm für drei Tage hatten. Das zweite Zimmer lag dann auf dem Niveau eines schlechten Motels! Dunkelgrüne Wände, ein mickriges Licht, keinen Ventilator, alte Einrichtung und sehr laut! Gegen Aufpreis (50$ p.N.) zogen wir dann in die Gartensuit. Diese war groß, hell und mit kleinem Garten und Whirlpool. Leider entsprachen die angebotenen Zimmer nicht dem, was wir laut Buchung erwartet haben!

Leider sehr abgewohnt, für eine Nacht okay.
Das Hotel ist leider sehr abgewohnt, die Zimmer klein und dunkel, sowie sehr Hellhörig.Der Emfpang und die Service Mitarbeiter haben sich sehr bemüht und waren sehr Aufmerksam.Leider lässt das gesamtbild aber keine beseere bewertung zu.Für eine Nacht kann man hier bleiben,aber mehr würde ich nicht Empfehlen.Die Lage zum Zentrum ist günstig, gegenüber ist ein Einkaufszentrum, alles auch zu Fuß erreichbar.

In die Jahre gekommen
Hotel entspricht leider gar nicht den Bildern. Alles schon älter und hellhörig. Lage war gut. Ansonsten sehr abgewohnt, Pool dreckig. Haben uns überhaupt nicht wohl gefühlt.

Hotel hat schon bessere Zeiten erlebt!
Das Hotel sieht auf den Fotos besser aus als es letztendlich ist. Das Zimmer war nicht ganz sauber und recht klein. Durch den starken Wind zog es in dem Zimmer und brachte so auch Schmutz in den Raum. Zum Frühstück durfte man aus 5 Variationen nur 1 auswählen. Es war nicht möglich ohne Aufpreis etwas von der Variante mit der 2. Variante zu kombinieren. Der Junge von der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, er verdient ein Lob!

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Toll im Hang gelegen, Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, Zimmer und öffentliche Räume sehr gepflegt und aufgeräumt, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Immer wieder gerne!

Beautiful, faciltiy. We stayed in the Forest Deluxe room which was larger and a bit further back from the road. The grounds are well maintained, the breakfast service was great and the staff was friendly. Just across the street are some decent restaurants and a grocery store. It's a short 2-3 block walk to the town square.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay here. It was a beautiful property with a nice path through their gardens and some wilderness, that was home to a variety of singing birds. They have a fire pit with marshmallows our kids enjoyed roasting. Service was spectacular and every worked was very friendly. Breakfast was yummy too. It’s just a couple minute walk to a nice grocery store (to fill up the fridge they give you for the room), many restaurants, and a bakery if your heart desires. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful property with great views and beautiful gardens. Close walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Nice pool and spa. Delicious food at the restaurant. Short drive to the Monteverde cloud forest. If renting a car be prepared for some rough roads glad we were there during the dry season.

Great Location
Great location and very nice resort/spa. All the Staff were great and very accommodating to requests. One thing to note is that there is no air conditioning in the rooms which was not an issue since temperatures were cool except that your wet clothing (it rained a lot when I was there) would not dry out. It was an easy walk to many shops, restuarants, etc. Biggest negative was that the hot tub was not hot and the jets were not working some of the time.

Awesome place to stay in Santa Elena
This was such a great place to stay. So close to the town, and very walkable yet it felt like you were away from everything when at the hotel. Great place for families. Their trails are fun to explore and make sure you check out the frog zoo down the road. Everyone had a great time.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The views were incredible, the gardens were so nice to walk around in. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. The hotel was definitely walkable to shops and restaurants, although if you go to the main town area, you will have to walk up a fairly steep hill on the way back. We would stay here again if we are lucky enough to come back!

The property is huge, multiple pools and trails to explore. A short drive into town. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and spacious. I would stay again. The only thing I didn’t expect was to have to drive from the room to the restaurant or pools because the property is so spread out!

As a bird watcher their back garden path had amazing birds! Wish we could have spent more time here just enjoying the property. They had a night time fire pit which was nice. You can request marshmallows from the kitchen for roasting (nice touch). Staff was super friendly and we were treated with drinks as we checked in. Would come back!

The property was very nice with walking paths around and lots of outdoor sitting areas. The pool and hot tub were covered and looked great, but we did not use either. The food in the restaurant was also very good. The only things we would have changed is a softer bed and with the windows behind the shutters open it could be a little noisy. Unfortunately we didn’t notice they were open until we were checking out. Would definitely stay here again.

Excelente todo, el personal muy amable… el único punto negativo fue el baño de nuestra habitación emanaba un olor feo que fue muy desagradable. Por lo demás, todo excelente!

Absolutely loved staying at Poco a Poco. Would stay here again in a heartbeat if I’m back in Monteverde. The room was clean and very comfortable (AC, comfy bed, great bathroom). The property itself is gorgeous with amazing views. The staff are extremely nice. If you’re considering it, go ahead and book.

Strange smell, very friendly staff
The staff was super friendly, the drinks were good. However there was a strange smell in our room both nights that we have not experienced anywhere else. We thought it might be the drain, but we closed the washroom door and it was not that. We had to open the windows for a bit to let it air out but the smell came back. We do not know what it was from and since it was our second and last night there we did not inform the property. We faintly smelled it the first night but it was more pronounced the second night. The food at the restaurant was okay (compared to the other places we have been to) but the staff were super friendly so that was nice.
