Neu renoviertes Hotel, sehr modern eingerichtet und sauber. Frühstück wie in allen amerikanischen Hotels, Pappteller, aber Smoothies und Obst vorhanden. Betten komfortabel. Auf jeden Fall für die Durchreise zu empfehlen.

Nutzten das Hotel für einen Zwischenaufenthalt auf dem Highway 1 nach Los Amgeles. Service war gut, Frühstück in Ordnung. Hotel war sauber.

Einfach, aber sauber und gut gelegen.
Für eine kurze Übernachtung auf einem Zwischenstopp war das Hotel ausreichend. Es war ganz einfach, aber sauber und gut gelegen. Das Frühstück war für deutsche Verhältnisse ein Witz, aber besser als gar nichts!

Super Service, super sauber, nur etwas laut
Die Begrüßung durch das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig und schön und sauber. Das Frühstück im Eingangsbereich war ok. Da es direkt zwischen Autobahn und Hauptstraße liegt, ist es leider etwas laut. Das übertönt auch die Klimaanlage nicht. Aber das wussten wir aus der Hotelbeschreibung schon. Deshalb war das für uns für 1 Nacht ok. Ansonsten war alles top. Nicht sehr hellhörig.

Das Hotel und das Zimmer waren sauber und das Personal war freundlich! Monterey Zentrum ist mit dem Auto leicht und unproblematisch zu erreichen, aber das Hotel liegt direkt an der Autobahn.

The Hampton Inn Monterey is basically a clean motor lodge. It is near Monterey tourist attractions which could make it a good hotel for someone wanting to be centrally located without being in the heart of a tourist district. When we arrived there were some homeless people across the street, and since the parking is open and not monitored I did question how safe the parking area is. The person who checked us in was unfriendly. When I made some basic inquiries, he snapped at me. The other desk clerks were neither friendly or unfriendly. I would say overall this was one of the least friendly/helpful staff I've encountered in the last few years. While the room was a comfortable size, and clean, the walls are paper thin--we could hear our neighbor's conversations, toilet flush etc. And the road noise makes it hard to sleep at night. The breakfast and in room coffee are basic. There was no tea in the room, but it was available in the breakfast area. Our fridge did not work, so the milk/cream we bought went bad. I brought a large group to this hotel (more than 20 people) and since I am in charge of travel for our organization, I will not be bringing our group back. I heard from several families that the noise level made it difficult to sleep and that the rooms were musty. In addition, the cost of the hotel/motel is high for what you get. It was actually more expensive than some of the nicer area hotels for the weekend we stayed (almost $700 for two nights).

I have stayed here twice now and it is just underwhelming. The water pressure both times I stayed here was very low. The beds were decent, however the carpets in my room were still wet (as though they shampooed them recently, but they were not dry).

The staff was friendly the next day, but less so during the check-in. The location was ok. It was walking distance to beautiful beach. Our only main complaint was that the room was dirty. Our bed skirt was smeared with something brown, as were our towels.

It was alright
Room was clean, however there were ants in the bathroom. Not a lot, just a stray one once in a while. Pretty noisy at night. Not expecting silence but there was a banging that seemed to be coming from within the walls. First in the bathroom then what sounded like behind the fridge. Then it stopped. But overall not bad at all. Within a reasonable distance from cannery row

Very clean and comfy. Good breakfast. Having a room near the ice machine was an inconvenience due to the noise at night when people grabbed ice and I was trying to sleep, but overall great! A bit overpriced considering that it’s only a motel.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke and there was bird poop all over the floor around the property. When we arrived the man in the front didn't give me proper instructions for parking and our room. He was too fast and it seemed like it was an inconvenience for him to help me.
